I have enjoyed living at Trinity Commons the past 1.5 years. It's a roomy apartment, with amenities like pool, hot tub, saunas, gym, club room, grills/outdoor area, and included parking. Unfortunately I don't feel like I have time to use all the amenities so the price feels a little high. But the administration is pretty responsive to problems and they do a lot of fun community events like Workout Wednesdays or Thanksgiving/X-mas themed bingo with prizes. Overall not a bad place!

Trinity Commons is still great, but expensive.

Trinity is in a great location as it is the closest apartment building to TSCHE (~12 min walk). Parking is also free in a secure, covered garage on the interior of the building. The building is also very secure, which was important to me. There's a nice gym, pool, and two outdoor entertaining areas. However, it is very overpriced for what they are offering in my opinion. The building is about 10 years old and I don't think they've replaced appliances or updated anything in that time. I think it is a great place to live in terms of convenience and offerings, it is just more expensive than I think it is worth!

The amenities and design of the apartment are great. I really like how I feel safe inside the apartment, especially because there have been a lot of crimes in the surrounding area, so its nice to have a security guard at night. However, there is a lit of noise around where I live and my apartment has experienced a lot of appliance breakdowns, etc but all that have been fixed within the day, they are just inconveniences.

Location is best for duke med students, can’t get any closer to school/the hospital. The apts are modern and pretty nice. It’s expensive. The staff are generally helpful. The gym and pool are decent. The required valet trash service is annoying. The rent is expensive but fairly competitive for the area.

Pros:
- Very good security
- Close to all Duke schools
- Clean
- No noisy parties
- High-end quality
- Many extra spaces including a huge gym
- Near to gas station with stores
- Duke free bus passes in front

Cons:
- The building structure is weak, if you have a neighbor that does not walk smoothly, the whole apartment will shake and you will hear strong stepping noise. (not recommended for people with misophonia)

Despite the higher cost than most other places, it has been 100% worth it! You pay extra for convenience (8-10 minute walk to TSCHE and hospital), safety (there is never a concern for break-ins and the building and garage a very secure), and overall quality of living. From the beautiful interiors of the apartments to the quiet neighbors to the amazing amenities (gym, steam room/sauna, hot tub, pool) this is the best place to live as a student and is worth every penny!!

Very close to Duke, easier 10 min walk commute. Definitely pricy but worth it for good gym and commute during clinical year.
