Great Location and Spacious Apartment

The Evanston Galleria is a best the location to live for a Kellogg student, especially a couple. It's close to the Jake and near the downtown Evanston bars, restaurant and grocery stores. Also, it's a 10 minute walk to the water and a nice running path. The apartment is a converted department store and has really nice high ceilings and great light. Also, the appliances are all stainless steel and we have granite countertops. It's a little bit more pricey, but well worth it.

Highly recommend the Evanston Galleria

The location is perfect. You are close to the Jacobs building and in the heart of Evanston. The building is always kept clean and the high ceilings give the apartments a unique touch. My complaints are that the building is so old that the heating system makes a lot of noise. It is also not very warm since a lot of cold air gets in through the window frames. Keep in mind that the building is on top of Panera and another restaurant so there are constantly delivery trucks in the back side of the building that can be very loud. The trash pick up is done at 6am and I am woken up by it often. I would recommend the apartments that face Church St. Other than that it is a great place to live in!

Great location, good value

Evanston Galleria is a very nice building located in the center of Evanston. Our apartment is spacious (800sqft), has high ceilings (13'), and nice hardwood floors. The unit is well-priced, especially since it is only a block or two from the Davis St El and Metra station. The layout is a bit strange and there is no window in the bedroom. The bathroom would be much better if it were a bit larger, but overall we like the apartment. We don't have a gym or doorman, but I think the space and design makes up for that.

Evanston Galleria

The apartment is fantastic and it's hard to find a more convenient location. The main downside is the apartment's funky layout--not having a bedroom door is kind of weird, but relatively easy to get used to.

Bonus: the apartment stays very warm in the Evanston winter...

Great Location and High Ceilings

Really great location in downtown Evanston, hardwood floors, huge windows and the condo I am renting is newly renovated. Very spacious and the high ceilings make it seem much roomier. Decently priced. Parking is outdoors. A block away from the train station and only a 10 minute walk from campus

Large Condo in the heart of Evanston

I really like the lobby/aesthetics/hallways/elevators of this complex. There is no doorman or property manager on site, but there are building maintenance workers and there is a man who cleans the common areas multiple times a week and he is very friendly. I have a small dog it is a pet friendly building. There is greenspace to walk her just over a block away, but there are some trees along the sidewalks if we don't have time to walk that far. There are some non-Kellogg people in the building, but it is largely occupied by Kellogg students. The condos are individually owned, so using a broker to get a unit is common. Parking is through assigned spots and not every unit gets a spot. The garage is attached to the building and is not covered. Trash and recycling bins are available on each floor and it is very convenient. There are also storage units in the basement that are quite large and come with every unit. I highly recommend this place!

Downtown Evanston has everything you need. E2 is walkable to campus, a Target, and plenty of restaurants, as well as Metra and L stations to get to Chicago. Right across the street is a Subway, a Thai restaurant, and a pizza place, plus there’s a 7-Eleven about a block away, so you’re very close to options if you need food in a pinch.
Close to downtown Evanston but a bit far from E2/the reserve. One of closest apartments to Trader Joes/Whole Foods/Jewel Osco while also being close to campus. Very close to the lake!
Downtown Evanston has everything you need from a downtown including grocery stores, restaurants, and convenience stores.
Downtown Evanston is great - plenty of great food within walking distance, Metra and El trains right nearby, a really nice place to be. Only downside is it's far from school and the only truly walkable grocery store is a Whole Foods, which can get expensive. Overall, wouldn't want to live elsewhere though.
Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Very easy access to Lake Michigan as well!
There isn't much to do here, but that's true pretty much everywhere in Evanston. We're in walking distance to all of "downtown" Evanston, so restaurants / fast food / subway, etc. It's a slightly longer walk than desired to Kellogg, but that's fine.
The apartment is central to downtown and is walking distance to most bars, restaurants, shops, beach, etc. Evanston is a bit of a sleepy town (especially during the pandemic...I've been told it was much more vibrant pre-pandemic).
I live just south of the main downtown area, and it's the perfect intersection of being close to the action but also a bit removed when you want some quiet. I like being a in a more residential pocket, so there is slightly less foot traffic and really nice areas to walk around with a dog, etc.
