Great apartments, meh building

The apartments themselves are big and nice. And it's great to have parking and a storage unit included. There is a very small gym, but it isn't well kept and it took them nearly 2 months to have the air conditioning turned on, only after I had to badger them often. There is a small, but fine 5th floor shared outdoor space. I think it's a pretty good deal for your money. If you can reach maintenance, they're very helpful.

140 Seneca - 8/10

Lots of MBAs in the building and great price/square foot ratio.

One of the better downtown locations (closer to campus than the other end).

Amenities are not bad although basic (gym has basic equipment only, rooftop is nice but not the best in the area).

Building management is not the best at communicating (takes some time to get help).

Apartments

The apartments are very spacious (1-bed apartments are upwards of 900 square feet and 2-bed apartments are upwards of 1600 square feet). Building management is not responsive though and it takes quite a long time to get anything repaired properly, etc.

Centrally located near the commons in downtown Ithaca, 140 Seneca Way is a quiet building with larger 1-bed and 2-bed floor-plans and is reasonably priced. Close to public transportation, shops, restaurants, nightlife and a short commute to campus (5-minute drive; 25 minute walk). Amenities include a 24/7 gym and small rooftop terrace.

Great Apartment but Expensive

The rent is expensive, but the apartment is really nice. It's one of the nicest places to live from the places I've seen. It's pretty quiet because many of the residents are young adults who work. There are plenty of dogs here and the apartment is very pet friendly. Noise level could increase if your neighbor has a loud dog, though I have not had any terrible experiences in that regard. Rooms are spacious, though the building itself could look a bit nicer. It's also in a great area if you want to be next to the commons. I walk to the law school, which is just under a mile. It's definitely annoying to walk (but by no means infeasible) but there are buses too.

Pricey, but a good place to live

It's hard to beat the location of this apartment building, with it being so close to the Commons and only two blocks from TCAT. The units are quite nice and are newly renovated, with fresh paint and modern appliances. The management company is generally responsive. The main downside is that the rent is not cheap and the utilities can add up, but you get what you pay for.

Not furnished. Very nice though. Not inundated with the law school community: pros and cons.
