Quaint Studio
I have a 370 sq. ft. studio at the border of Foggy bottom and Georgetown for the perfect location close by the GWUH hospital, Georgetown's shops, and Dupont's restaurants and bars. The rent is relatively cheap compared with the area, although it is a small place. The layout is nice and makes it feel bigger than it is. There is also shared laundry on the first floor that we have to pay $2 for each load for both washer and dryer (separately) but at least there is one. The building feels very safe and houses many post-grads although I have gotten a couple packages stolen since there is no concierge. The button to let people up only works if you have a phone number in the area. There is no gym or other amenities and the trash is outside around back. The management answers if there is a problem in a timely manner and there is one building maintenance guy who live on the first floor of the building and is relatively nice. My kitchen does not include a dish washer or the most modern appliances but it's a nice space separate from the main room. Overall, I love my apartment because it fit my needs and price range and will not move (been living here for 1.5 years now) but I do wish there was a gym for the winters. I am friends with my neighbors and feel very comfortable here. I have had no issues with pests or noise and I control the temperature of my apartment.

Shoremeade Review
Took a while to get the apartment working with the leasing agent but once you have the apartment management is great. Work orders are fixed fast and the common areas are clean.

Review
It is such a convenient location, right next to campus. The apartment is very spacious. However, it really is expensive for someone in their 20's. I had quite a few issues with my apartment when I first move in but they were quite out of the ordinary that others did not have issues with and would likely not happen to others. The maintenance people are AMAZING and any time I had an issue, they were quick to show up and fix it or support me.

So far, so good!
I've been living here since August 2021 and it has been the perfect space as a GW grad student. The studio is small but has lots of natural light and the kitchen has great counter space. The heating/AC unit is so nice. I love not needing a window-unit AC! The building is clean and the Super is friendly and helpful.
The apartment is within walking distance to GW's campus but is also far enough away that you feel like you're in a separate neighborhood. I've felt very safe in the neighborhood. The Foggy Bottom stop on the Metro is less than 10 minutes away and there is a Trader Joe's around the corner. Georgetown is literally steps away. West End is very quiet, so if you're looking for a party, you won't find it here.
I haven't had too many interactions with management since moving in. They were extremely slow to approve my application and send my lease which was concerning but ultimately I'm really happy with the building.
This isn't a brand new building that has a fancy pool or gym. But it is way more affordable than other buildings in the area. If you are just in need of a nice place to live, I would recommend the Shoremeade.

Great Location
Apartment building doesn't really have any amenities, although it does have on-site laundry machines. Management isn't great, tend to be unorganized. Great location for an amazing price.

Good price, good spot
An excellent price for a very clean and modern space. The space is relatively small, but sufficient for one person. Management company is very responsive and has an on-site manager for day-to-day problems. There was no security deposit required when I moved in. Love living here.

Perfect location
Older building but pretty well maintained and at a good price. Any issues in apartment are quickly fixed upon maintenance request. No amenities. Great location.

Comfortable, convenient, cost-effective
Perfect for working in Foggy Bottom. This apartment is on a quiet section of K Street (on the service road) very easy to get to Georgetown, DuPont, Logan, U Street, etc.
Comfortable and well-maintained property. Management is attentive and responsive to residents needs. The studio is small (380 sq ft) but good natural light makes it feel bigger. Walls are thick, never hear my neighbors. Recently upgraded heating and cooling in the entire building, no more window AC units and radiators!

Studio close to school
Affordable studio close to school and trader joe's, but limited sunlight and poor ventilation.
