Property itself is ok but management team is bad

Building is a condo association with very few renters.

247 E Chestnut

247 is one of the older buildings in the area, and it shows. Pipes were creaky and loud (we could hear whenever someone next door turned on the faucet or shower), walls were thin, and we had roaches a couple times. Besides that, the amenities and staff were friendly and great. Laundry room was clean and always functional and the repairmen were always around if you needed something fixed. Doormen were the nicest people ever. They do have a move-in policy that charges you $150 per elevator use and only allow moves on weekdays, which was fairly inconvenient.

Perfect location for Feinberg, almost feels like a small slice of a college town because so many of your neighbors will be students, residents, nurses, etc at the hospital. You do get sirens fairly often depending on where you live since the emergency room is very close. The neighborhood doesn't have too many restaurants/bars but it is walking distance to River North and Gold Coast and the rest of the city is easily accessed by public transport. Much safer than most neighborhoods in Chicago.

Love how close we are to the medical school, makes going to class really easy. A lot of students live in Streeterville so it is very easy to hangout with friends. There are also a few coffee shops in the neighborhood that are very fun to study at!

Very safe in comparison to the rest of Chicago. Great restaurant and bar scene with proximity to touristy spots, the lake, Mag Mile, and Red Line stations. However, apartments in Streeterville are often on the more expensive side.

Nice and clean and generally feel safe here. Walking distance from Lakeshore park and lake. Not as many restaurants and things to do here unlike some other neighborhoods.

Streeterville is nice. It gives you the city vibe. There are plenty of grocery stores nearby and it's right next to Northwestern graduate schools.

So much to do in Streeterville and it is close to the river and the beaches. Lots of dogs walking around. Very safe neighborhood as well.

It's so convenient to be close to campus for classes. The trees and parks are also nice as compared to River North.
