Great Building with beautiful rooftop views

This place is a great place to live for the money. They have great, clean facilities, and a beautiful rooftop deck. All apartments have balconies with views of either Lake Michigan or Wrigley Field. Close to express buses downtown and the Red Line Addison stop.

Great Building to Rent Apartment

Several different layouts ranging from studios to two bedrooms. The majority of the units have a balcony, some having a view of the lake and/or skyline. Really good value for rent (depends on condo owner). Plenty of washer/dryers on the 3rd floor ($1.50 washer, $1 dryer, card operated). There is also a convenience store and FFC gym attached to the building.

The main reason we moved here was the neighborhood. Broadway, Clark, Diversey and Belmont are all within walking distance and offer all of the shops, restaurants, bars and grocery stores you could need. It really is in a prime, unbeatable location. Not to mention it's a block from Lake Michigan and walking distance to Lincoln Park and a short bike ride from Montrose Beach.
My street and neighborhood are usually fairly quiet. Sundays seem to be the going out day in the neighborhood but it isn't disruptive to my every day life. Overall it seems like a very safe area and being a young woman living alone, that is very important. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
The area of lakeview this apartment is in is between where the bars start in Wrigleyville at Clark and Sheffield and Boystown at Newport and Halstead. The street itself is pretty quiet but there are plenty of options for bars since it's right near Wrigley Field and Boystown. There are also plenty of great restaurant options, and it's a 6 minute walk to the Addison red line or a 10 minute walk to the Belmont stop.
I love Lakeview! There's honestly something for everyone somewhere in the neighborhood. From Wrigleyville's baseball and country bars to the rowdy drag shows of Boystown, you can have a totally new experience a few blocks from something else. Lots of great food for both a quick, cheap meal and a sit-down dinner, and some fun local shopping too.
Wrigleyville is popular with young adults and recent graduates, making it a lively neighborhood. There is easy access to the Red Line, one of the city's most popular transit lines. It's also close to Lakeshore Drive, making commute by car easy as well. The area is incredibly safe and has a decent number of restaurants and cafes. The area also has a large number of TFA Corps Members, making meetups really easy.
I love the lakeview area. It is far more affordable than the surrounding boroughs, and everyone nearby is around my age (early 20s to mid 30s). There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and basic amenities (grocery stores, pharmacies, etc.) within walking distance, and it still feels very safe.
Pros:
-Close to the Clark St strip in Wrigley
-Lots of good restaurants nearby
-A mile from the lakefront path, which is good for running and biking
-Plenty of public transportation options

Cons:
-The only major grocery store in the area is Trader Joe's. You can't walk to a Jewel unless you want to walk over a mile. They are building a Mariano's around Broadway and Wellington, so that will be nice.
-Occasionally loud drunk people on weekends wandering around.
-The hospital (Advocated Masonic) can also be a source of late night noise.
I absolutely love living in Lakeview East. Has a very homey community feel, and it is very safe. Right near all my public trans needs and accessible to many entertainment needs (Wrigley Field, Boystown, Lincoln Park, etc). Extremely pet friendly and family oriented neighborhood.
