Best Kept Secreg

Living in the Fulton market area just on the other side of the chaos is a dream. The apartment itself is beautiful and spacious, and very quiet and insulated. Our unit has a private roof deck with a great view of the city.

Great compromise for a high rise

We needed to move from Wrigleyville after 4 years to the West Loop/River West as my boyfriend just started working in Oakbrook and needed to cut down the commute. River West Lofts is a great compromise between the "foofy" high rises in the West Loop that give you no space for your money. The decor inside the lobby is a little 80s, but the individual units are awesome loft spaces with PLENTY of space - we actually increased our square footage by 200 ft from our last place for only a fraction more. They have recently rehabbed the kitchens with granite and new appliances/part of the bathrooms, and added carpet. Our unit is a corner unit so it's super quiet, but I have heard that middle units can be nosier. There is a small gym, laundry on site that is newer/done quickly. There is also parking in the Mondial unit garage across the street for a small monthly fee (comparable to other parking). The rooftop view is also insane! Would definitely recommend this to someone who wants lots of the perks of a high rise without sacrificing space. Management has also been great so far. Short walk to both Grand + Chicago blue line CTAs, Halsted bus, etc. Randolph street is only about a 15 minute walk to killer restaurants, too!

River West is a hidden gem! It's a smaller neighborhood that might be lesser known, but it's growing. It's an awesome central location. Quick to school on the Blue Line or a 10 minute drive to campus. Getting to other neighborhoods like Wicker, West Loop, River North, etc is also super easy from River West.
The neighborhood is new and primarily residential, so very few distractions. The location of River West is great for accessing all the other neighborhoods in Chicago. It is only 3 miles from the lakefront.
neighborhood is safe, convenient, small not too busy or noisy, friendly neighbors
The area is safe, it is close to the blue line, there is street parking, and it is close to many other neighborhoods. There is not much of a social scene in our neighborhood directly but its very easy to get to other places.
Close in but not expensive. The only big drawback is the highway cutting it off from surrounding areas and taking space that could otherwise be more businesses. I find myself frequently going to Wicker Park because there's not nearly as many businesses in River West.
The neighborhood is great - I think it'll be the new hot spot. It's close to public transportation like the blue line and even walk-able to the west loop. I haven't really discovered a ton of great restaurants, but it's close enough to hot spots like Wicker.
Neighborhood is great. Easy access to Wicker Park and Fulton Market. You're right next to a CVS and a new grocery store.
River West is a nice compromise to being close to downtown (Central Loop is only a 25-30 min walk or quick blue line trip). There are nicer places than others but for the most part feels homey/cozy. Lots of new things going in on Chicago Ave, Halsted area.
