Facility is very bad but good location

One day, one side of my wall looks wired. This was because of the water leakage. This kind of events happen very frequently. They just stop water supply because something breaks. It is okay, but they usually give notice to us 2 days ahead. They never fix elevator (1 out 3), which stops working for several months.

The Marylander

Conveniently located in between 2 JHU shuttle stops, a walk away from several food outlets down the street, and super close to JHU homewood campus. This place is definitely a must-consider if you are coming to Baltimore and want all the convenience.

Good apt

I like this apartment building overall. I love the area it's in -- there are a lot of restaurants, you can walk to the Baltimore Museum of Art, and there's a lot of good public transportation, which is important to me since I don't have a car. Good value for what you get overall!

It's okay

It's only one block from JHU and Medstar Hospital. Location is excellent. It's pet friendly, if you have one, you can take it with you here. Unfortunately, the maintenance of the apartment is not very well. You can find cockroaches! The price is reasonable

The Marylander

For a person coming to live in Baltimore for the first time- i would definitely recommend The Marylander to them. Specially if the person works at JHU - it is the best bet.
Located in an amazing and a very safe locality - something essential while living in Baltimore.

The Marylander

Great location and a solid value, but management can be hard to deal with at times and the building has had a few maintenance issues in the past year. Still, it’s reasonably priced and a good starter apartment if you are new to the area

Charles Village Reviews

3 reviews
Charles Village is right in the heart of Baltimore - every where in the city is at most a 15-20 minute drive and every major bus line runs right through Charles Village. Honestly, you might not need to leave very often - there are tons of bars, music venues, and the Baltimore Museum of Art all right here.
I'm right next to campus, so there are a lot of security patrols, and it feels very safe. Most of the renters in the building are students too, which helps.
Close to JHU, which means too many undergrads. But lots of older students and families too. Restaurants are decent. Public transit is good. Safety is above average for Baltimore.
