This neighborhood is great if you are mainly into packed sports bars. Other than that, though, it also has a variety of restaurants, many of which are BYOB, and there is a Whole Foods half a block away. You can also join the DePaul gym as a non-student for about $80/month. It's about 2 blocks away and has absolutely everything you would want.
Several restaurants and bars within walking distance in Lincoln Park. Whole Foods right on the corner of Sheffield. Oz Park is within a few blocks. You are also half a block from Fullerton L stop, just far enough to not be able to hear it and close enough to minimize the time you're outside on those super cold days :)
This building sits on the Lincoln Park side of the Lakeview/Lincoln Park border. Love the location close to Diversey Harbor, as well as beach access at Fullerton. Head down to Clark/Broadway for endless restaurant/bar/shopping choices. Two grocery stores within walking distance (Trader Joes and Walmart).
Love this neighborhood! Definitely the best part of this apartment. Rent is a great price in comparison to the rest of the area. Walking distance to the zoo, parks, the beach, bars, shopping. Not really close to trains, but it's not a problem because there are many convenient bus lines and Uber/Lyft is generally a good price from most places in the city.
The neighborhood could be more secure to be honest. There have been a few times where I would not want to walk alone at night--and I'm a guy that can fend for himself. I recommend having a car or an escort instead of walking alone at night. But overall its really not bad.
Great place and great location! The apartment is right by a lot of bars and restaurants including starbucks. It is also nearby the Fullerton stop and various bus stops making commuting very convenient. There is always tons of parking on the street as well.
The area has tons of restaurants, bars, and grocery stores within walking distance. A Target also opened up in the area. 22 and 36 buses are right outside the door, and is a 10 min walk to the red line. Also close to the beach/lake.
Cute neighborhood, quiet street, great location. 2 blocks away from Trader Joes, Walmart, Walgreens, Target, and Bed Bath and Beyond. However, there are extremely limited food options in the area for lunch / dinner.
