Great place to live. Very quiet building and street. Extremely convenient to be close to Target and Hyde Park Produce. Close to good bus stops.

Good apartment for the price
Management is friendly and helpful when needed. I've had very few maintenance issues, but for those I did have maintenance responded pretty quickly. It's a pretty quiet building; I've almost never heard a lot of noise from neighbors, but I do occasionally hear some street noise (which is no surprise). I haven't noticed pests or mold, and management told me they do regular pest control in the common areas of the building.
My apartment seems surprisingly spacious for the price. I have a walk-in closet and large windows. It's also a great location for Hyde Park - close to everything on 53rd and several bus stops.
Really the only downsides with my apartment are things I could get if I chose to rent a more expensive place - I don't have a dishwasher, much kitchen space, or central AC or heat. It's a very old building, and not everything has been updated. There's also no elevator. I do wish the laundry room had more machines, but the good thing is you can pay for laundry by card. I've heard that there may be some problems with packages going missing. I haven't had that problem, and there are package lockers, but sometimes the delivery people don't put the packages in them.
All in all, I think I'm getting what I was willing to pay for, and I've been happy with the place.
