Overall rating 9.3/10, based on 11 renter reviews Write a review
Honest and Open
1. Clean, spacious, well located in Lansing
2. Ten minute drive to campus
3. Well suited for small families or 2 roommates
4. Garage, quiet community feel, pool during summers, small gym
5. Management is fine, maintenance staff is really solid. No issues or complaints.
5. Would live here again. Hands down and it’s not close.

East Pointe
-Expensive, but well worth the price. Would only consider if you have a car given its distance from campus. There is a bus stop nearby, but who wants to walk 5-10 minutes to the bus in upstate NY subzero temps.
-Responsive and caring management. Nice gym on site. Covered, personal garage.
-Would not consider this if you want a downtown-type vibe and to be in the heart of the action. My favorite part about East Pointe is how quiet and relatively secluded it is.
-There's a McDonald's less than a mile away - be wary.

One of the best places to live in the Ithaca area
Check out the google review. I don't have to describe how great this place is. The drawbacks are that the gym is very small and that you need to have a car to live here otherwise commuting would be a pain.

First Year MBA Review
Best place to live in Ithaca. Quiet, family oriented, small gym, good location near the airport and Target/Lansing. Garage for storing vehicle. Nice community vibe. Would rent again 10/10.

High Price, High Value
Living in East Pointe has been a top notch experience. In an area of the country with limited housing supply, East Pointe stands out as the highest quality apartments in the area. Not only are the facilities relatively new (built in 2019), but the management team is phenomenal. I have never had to worry about anything breaking or malfunctioning.
The amenities such as pool, fire pit, small gym, community center, and quiet location next to the woods are nice pluses.

Excellent Choice, but Pricey
East Pointe Apartments (EPA) are excellent choice. Safe, modern and friendly community. Bus 32 and 37 are accessible, however, nothing after 7 PM.
Living near the airport is ok given that Ithaca's airport is very small and the number of flights per week is countable by hand.
The major drawback of EPA is the price. Although well deserved, its prices are higher than most of the non-downtown-based competitors.

Quiet Sanctuary
Overall, I love living at East Pointe Apartments. My husband and I live in a 2-bed/2-bath apartment. The bedrooms are located on opposite ends of the apartment, so we've been able to set up independent work stations, which has been essential for getting through the semester.
Our end-unit, second-story apartment has windows on 3/4 of the walls, so it's delightfully sunny. Our apartment has a one-car garage and a small patio. The complex is also pet friendly. We have two cats, and there is a small, fenced-in dog park in the wooded area behind the complex.
We've recently gone through a management change, and so far it seems to be an improvement. We had some issues with the previous management, but those appear to have been mostly resolved. While we love the location (on the border of Lansing near Target), it is not on a convenient bus line, so that would be difficult for students coming without cars.
