Quiet Sanctuary
Overall, I love living at East Pointe Apartments. My husband and I live in a 2-bed/2-bath apartment. The bedrooms are located on opposite ends of the apartment, so we've been able to set up independent work stations, which has been essential for getting through the semester.
Our end-unit, second-story apartment has windows on 3/4 of the walls, so it's delightfully sunny. Our apartment has a one-car garage and a small patio. The complex is also pet friendly. We have two cats, and there is a small, fenced-in dog park in the wooded area behind the complex.
We've recently gone through a management change, and so far it seems to be an improvement. We had some issues with the previous management, but those appear to have been mostly resolved. While we love the location (on the border of Lansing near Target), it is not on a convenient bus line, so that would be difficult for students coming without cars.

Decent place for the area
We are located about 4 miles north of campus near the airport and the post office. The area is extremely quiet, which we really like. The apartments themselves are nice enough, but you can tell that they were constructed very quickly and very cheaply. Many of the finishing details were done haphazardly, but a resident would have to really be looking to catch most of these details. The office management is okay, not great, but not terrible either. Dave, the maintenance man is awesome and goes out of his way to help fix tenant issues. So far we haven't encountered too many issues, just a few quirks here and there with the new construction of the building. Overall, would recommend.
