spacious, relatively close, relatively rare find

The property is good. As a couple, we have plenty of space during WFH lockdown. E.g. offices in separate bedrooms, a separate living area and kitchen downstairs to (try to) separate work from living.

For the amount of space and location (15 min bike to campus) the cost is actually a deal for UTC. We did not want to pay ~the same amount to live in a big highrise/megaplex, so we were on the lookout for weeks and ready to sign the lease the day we toured the place.

Downsides are that the unit is relatively old and poorly insulated. Its not as close to campus as I would prefer but that's tough to find aside from UCSD grad housing. The management company is attentive.
