Excellent neighborhood, great space
My apartment is ~750 sq. feet and has separate living spaces/ rooms. It is located a block from the lakefront path in north Lakeview East in a walkable, safe, vibrant neighborhood. Although my building does not have amenities like a gym, elevator, or door person, I pay very little for a space with tall ceilings, plenty of space and storage, and molding on the walls. I have a car which allowed me to expand my search radius when looking for apartments. I would likely not live this far north if I did not have a car. I appreciate being in Lakeview East because I am gay.

Lakeview by the lake
I love my neighborhood. It’s a bit of a hike from school, so I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have a car. My apartment is 730 square feet, and the kitchen, dining room, bedroom, and living room are all separate. My neighbors are quiet, and maintenance is fast. The building itself is a yellow brick building in Lakeview a block from the lakefront path, and the building has not been updated for quite a while. It does not have an elevator or it’s own parking. I pay $200/mo. for indoor, temp-controlled parking just around the corner. My unit does not have a dishwasher, and laundry machines are communal and coin-operated. I love my apartment and neighborhood. It was a steal for the price and location.
