Great apartment close to lots of stuff in downtown Durham. Great management company.

A great choice for those seeking a downtown living experience. Its prime location offers easy access to the historic American Tobacco campus as well as numerous shops, restaurants, and entertainment options just steps away. The amenities provided are also impressive, ensuring that residents can enjoy a comfortable and convenient lifestyle. However, it's worth noting that the management's recent attitude towards maintenance has been lax.

Great location that is walkable to most of downtown and a consistent 8-minute drive to the law school. Really nice gym and pool and extremely quick maintenance. The garage has been broken on multiple occasions and not fixed quickly enough (one entry point was shut down for over a month). Sometimes the mail system isn’t the best, though I haven’t had any real issues. It is very expensive to me but overall a nice place to live.

The apartment building is wonderful. There is tons of storage and space in, including updated appliances and a balcony for each unit. The gym is fine, not great, but anything else not there can be accessed at Duke's campus gyms. Location is great (near Bulls stadium and running trails, 10 minute walk from farmer's market, and 5 minute drive from school).

Everything so far has been great! The leasing office is super helpful with all questions and problems you may have, and for the amenities, location, and quality of the unit, the price is very fair.

Great apartments that are relatively new!

Pros: Spacious, tons of storage. I cook a lot and the kitchen storage is great (although I wish I had gas burners instead of electric). The gym is very nice for an apartment complex, including a squat rack. Love the pool. Proximity to downtown restaurants and American Tobacco Campus.

Cons: Price. Construction will be starting soon (nobody knows exactly when) on the ATC campus extension right across the street, so I don’t know how disruptive that will be. Fireworks after every Bulls game are fun to watch a few times, but pretty loud and sometimes at 10pm at night.

It's been pretty good living at Cortland. The apartment has good amenities and maintains cleanliness throughout. One area of improvement would be to have more community events to justify the high cost of living.
