Albion Oak Park

The albion is the perfect location for those wanting a quick commute to school but also wanting some separation from school. It is located on the "main" street in Oak Park with access to several grocery stores, pharmacies and restaurants. The apartments are spacious and there is tons of study space for students- they even have a Kribi Coffee (local coffee chain) in the lobby.

Management is warm, welcoming and responsive, and the building is safe. Other tenants are super friendly and there are many Stritch Students in the building!

Albion is an excellent apartment approximately 15 minute drive from campus. They offer studios, convertables, one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom apartments. The parking is a closed garage but is an additional monthly charge. Albion is extremely pet friendly! People here have cats, dogs, and even a turtle. We have a big dog and there are free treats for her from Albion every day, there is a pet spa room for bathing/grooming. There is also an indoor playroom which is fantastic for puppy playdates on cold winter days.
Albion also offers many study locations that you can reserve 3 hour time slots. These have been nice for group studying. There is a cafe in the lobby area with cheap coffee and resident discounts!! Also being in the heart of Oak Park, there is a variety of restaurants within walking distance, as well as a small target.
Safety wise, everything is key fob. The main lobby is open 9 am-6 pm every day with employees at the main counter. From 6 pm - 11 pm there is a security person at the counter as well. To access any residential floors, you have to key fob.
Amenities include an outdoor pool with plenty of seating, multiple outdoor terraces with seating, grills, and tables, and a nice gym.

Great location right downtown Oak Park and close to the school - about a 15 minute drive. They have a cool deal for Stritch students - you get 4 free hours of renting the entire roof area if you want to host a party.

The only complaint I have is the ridiculous pricing and they include a lot of extra charges. I do expect them to raise my rent next year. If you have pets, the pet fee is $300 and $50/month thereafter. I split my rent with someone so its not terrible, but its definitely on the pricier end compared to other places around here.

Otherwise I have no complaints. The apartments are nice and living here has been very convenient. Since we have to be on campus a lot during our first year I wanted to avoid sitting in traffic on the highway (if I were coming from downtown Chicago). The amenities are super helpful if I want to switch up my study space or get a quick workout in. Also, it is a very dog friendly building! I believe they have a groomer you can pay for that comes to the building once a month. It is also attached to the coffee shop Dollop through the building lobby.
