Lakeshore Plaza Review

The floor plans are a little strange, but there is a lot of room. Like the amount of light/ views, dislike the laundry room.

Lake Shore Plaza Review

The layout of the apartment is really nice! My roommate and my rooms are far apart, which really decreases the noise disturbance. One downside of LSP is the small gym with limited machines and weights.

Highly recommend

One of the cheapest buildings in Streeterville, close to campus and with a nice pool/small gym. They're quick to fix any issues if they arise and we haven't had any problems with management.

Lake Shore Plaza

My roommate and I got our apartment with a deal, so it costs about $200/month than others on the floor. I really like how close the building is to class, as it only takes around 7min for me to get to any of classrooms. Our apartment gets a good amount of light, and the bedrooms are on opposite sides, which gives it a feeling of privacy. Management is responsive to repair requests; upon moving in, I found a few issues, which were fixed within 24 hours. There is an outdoor pool for use during the summer, a patio, and a gym all for resident use. The gym doesn't have an abundance of machines, but it's enough for me.

As for things I would change, I think that the walls can be kind of thin. I can hear my neighbor's music sometimes, but they're pretty responsive if I ask them to turn it down.

Very Good

My favorite thing about the 2-bedroom I live in is the amount of space for each resident. Both bedrooms have their own full bathrooms, a good amount of floor area, and ample closet space. As a result, the common area is fairly small, but overall I really like the layout. The location is another big positive (close to the medical campus and to the beach), but a downside is that the unit itself and the appliances it came with were not in tremendous shape.

LSP

Pros: location walking distance from campus, lots of closet space, responsive management and maintenance, reasonable cost for the area, gym and sundeck area with outdoor pool, partnership with grocery delivery service

Cons: gym is small with just few basic machines, older building, no in-unit laundry (but there is a basement laundry room with plenty of machines)

Perfect location for Feinberg, almost feels like a small slice of a college town because so many of your neighbors will be students, residents, nurses, etc at the hospital. You do get sirens fairly often depending on where you live since the emergency room is very close. The neighborhood doesn't have too many restaurants/bars but it is walking distance to River North and Gold Coast and the rest of the city is easily accessed by public transport. Much safer than most neighborhoods in Chicago.
Love how close we are to the medical school, makes going to class really easy. A lot of students live in Streeterville so it is very easy to hangout with friends. There are also a few coffee shops in the neighborhood that are very fun to study at!
Very safe in comparison to the rest of Chicago. Great restaurant and bar scene with proximity to touristy spots, the lake, Mag Mile, and Red Line stations. However, apartments in Streeterville are often on the more expensive side.
Nice and clean and generally feel safe here. Walking distance from Lakeshore park and lake. Not as many restaurants and things to do here unlike some other neighborhoods.
Streeterville is nice. It gives you the city vibe. There are plenty of grocery stores nearby and it's right next to Northwestern graduate schools.
So much to do in Streeterville and it is close to the river and the beaches. Lots of dogs walking around. Very safe neighborhood as well.
walking distance from wholefood and other shops, gyms, bar and restaurants, dry cleaner, and 2 minute walk from hospital.
It's so convenient to be close to campus for classes. The trees and parks are also nice as compared to River North.
