Park Wellington- Great Location but Limited Amenities

It's an alright apartment building. It's cheaper than the other apartments around and in a great location but no where near what you should be paying for the limited amenities and service. They went through multiple property managers at first but are now set on one who is very helpful.

About Lakeview

A massive and lively neighborhood, Lakeview offers great shopping, tasty dining options, celebrated pubs and bars, and a host of other entertainment options including live music, comedy shows, and exciting street festivals. Take an excursion to Krista K Boutique for tasteful brands and the latest fashions, but also be sure to stop by Unabridged Bookstore to pick up the latest novel. Take a break and stop at bopNgrill for Korean fusion cuisine or Crisp for some of Chicago's most highly rated fried chicken. Wash down your food with craft beers from Burn Brewing Company or a classy glass of Pinot at Pastoral. Rock out to indie music at Schubas or breathe in the jazz at Metro Chicago. Lakeview is a delightful neighborhood to live in, and it is a wonderful choice if you are moving to Chicago. <br>

Lakeview Reviews

close to the lake and lots of public transportation options make this a reasonable neighborhood to live in. Plenty of shopping options too, with a new Mariano's and Target coming into the area soon. The safety in the area is starting to get questionable - especially at night - but still far safer than anything on the south side.
Lakeview is a strange neighborhood seeing slow change due to continued popularity and ongoing gentrification. What used to be a low-middle income area full of LGBT people and ethnic minorities is becoming more white bread and upper middle class.

It has numerous sub-neighborhoods, including the super bro-y Wrigleyville and the still queer Boystown. It has a mix of lower income co-op housing and slowly dying out SRO housing with luxury condos and high rises.

The area is generally safe, though the occasional mugging does occur and bar fights happen closer to the stadium on the regular.

The neighborhood is often loud and bustling with people, with hospitals on both ends (St. Jo's and Advocate to the south and Thorek to the north) so a lot of ambient ambulance and fire truck noise is normal, plus sounds from people going to and from the many bars and restaurants lining Broadway, Belmont, Halsted, and Clark. Festivals draw neighbors into the streets and block traffic frequently during the summer, including Pride, Market Days, Lakeview Arts Fest, and others.
Tons of bars and restaurants in the area. Lots of young professionals and students, but a good number of families as well. Feels like a true neighborhood in the city of Chicago! Very safe and relatively affordable.
I love it! Very safe and tons to do. We are also very close to the lake and Lincoln Park. Street parking isn't the greatest, so plan for that. You can definitely find good valued apartments in the area.
Lots of things to do and great for families, young professionals, couples, singles, everyone... I lived closer to Lincoln Park and definitely like this area more; lakeview east is a lot of fun.
Being on the corner of Sheridan and Diversey gives easy access to nature through the lake, the zoo, and the park as well as a variety of grocery stores, boutiques, and restaurants.
Lakeview is a fairly safe and clean area. It has easy access to LSD and the lakeshore running paths. There aren't very many grocery stores so I use Peapod.
Wrigleyville is popular with young adults and recent graduates, making it a lively neighborhood. There is easy access to the Red Line, one of the city's most popular transit lines. It's also close to Lakeshore Drive, making commute by car easy as well. The area is incredibly safe and has a decent number of restaurants and cafes. The area also has a large number of TFA Corps Members, making meetups really easy.
