Echo apartment

I love echo. The apartment was in great condition when I got it. It's spacious and perfect for one person or a couple to live in. I really like that walking distance I have a grocery store, a coffee shop, some restaurants, orange theory, a nail salon, and much more.

Great place to live for cheaper rent than downtown. About 7 min drive from campus. Pool, gym, and computer lounge.

Almost Perfect

The apartment is clean, well designed, centrally located, well connected and the leasing office and support staff are superb and proactive - especially attentive to needs of a students. The locker services, office, lounges, printers, gym, pool and the frequent free breakfast / dinner / beers are lovely and help keep the vibrant and young community connected. There have been a few mishaps off lately due to the fire alarm going off at odd times and multiple times a week. Although the management has been trying to solve for it, they have been unable to identify any systemic reasons or individuals responsible for the episode. Its bothersome and anxiety inducing and those struggling with such matters should possibly avoid. Also, the place has too many pets roaming around - keep away if they are not your cup of tea.

Echo Review

Good experience overall though they have issues with a faulty fire alarm that goes off every now and then. It is very annoying.

Echo exceeds my expectations

This apart is a great value - bigger floorplan than I expected and close to 2 different bus lines to get to campus.

Awesome location and quiet apartment

I love the location of the apartment. Close to everytbing! Another huge plus is that the apartment is so quiet (except the street noise if you live in the outer layer of the apartment). I was never bother by the neighbor sounds.

Beautiful apartments!

The apartments are designed well with wood floors, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. I live in a 1BR with a study (A9 Floorplan) and it is a great use of space. You will have to either rent or buy a washer/dryer for certain floorplans so make sure you factor that into your budget.

The property management team is attentive and is easy to talk to about concerns that you may have. There is a gym on-site and conference rooms available for use as well. Parking is plentiful in the garage and I've had no issues with safety in the building or around it.

In terms of location, the Hyde Park area is about a 15-20 minute bus ride to campus (door to door). If you drive, it is less than 10 minutes.

Overall, this is a great place to live if you like the Hyde Park area, want a nice apartment, and budget friendly.

Upgraded Apartment Living North of Downtown Austin

The apartment has very nice features and an app that allows for easy maintenance service requests. The complex amenities include a relaxing pool, attached dog park, small gym with upgraded equipment, computer room and lounge on the top floor with a nice view of the city skyline. The management office is often hard to reach but they offer occasional resident event perks such as free wine and products from local companies. Some of the things I do not like about living here is the excessive loud noise in the mornings when the trash and recycling dumpsters are emptied, as well as the sensitive fire alarms.

Great building w distance

The Triangle, and especially the Echo, are optimal apartment buildings for those looking to get a Sabina-esque experience without the constant surroundings of other law students.

Getting around Triangle State

Triangle State Reviews

35 reviews
I love the peaceful and community feel of the Triangle neighborhood. We frequently have student meet-ups for study sessions, happy hours and yoga classes in our neighborhood park. Everything I need is in walking distance and I can even walk the ~3 miles to class when I am feeling ambitious.
Not as hip as dowtown and may be lacking in nightlife, but I wasn't looking for that. Love the proximity to campus, but not innondated with undergrads.
relatively safe neighbourhood. not too many homeless people around. there is a grocery store nearby
I love being close to restaurants, the Triangle park, Hyde Park, and access to 290 .
The Triangle offers lots of chain restaurants for easy, quick options for food. You can easily walk to these places. However, the surrounding area is full of unique Austin treasures. There are plenty of coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants that you'll want to check out as well. Within a few miles, you also have Central Market and an HEB. I love the overall neighborhood vibe.
Location:
Good but not great. This neighborhood might technically classified as Hyde Park but it is just on the outskirts. The neighborhood is walkable and access to the metrorapid bus is great. It's still not downtown and you will have to spend more money on uber or time waiting for the bus to go to Sixth Street/Rainey Street/East Sixth to go out.

Transportation:
You can take either the metrorapid bus or the city bus to campus with about a 7-10 minute ride. The bus will also take you downtown fairly quickly. Occasionally I will commute to school with my bike and leave 15 minutes before class and get there on time. (disclaimer: not something you want to do in the hotter months)

Food:
Central Market is a ten minute walk through the park behind the apartment complex. There is also a Natural Grocers that is good for picking up small items like produce that is located at 38th and Guadalupe. Further down the road there is a Randall's grocery store. There are several smaller restaurants/bars within walking distance from the apartment. There is a Starbucks across the street as well as a coffee shop on Guadualupe called La Tazza Fresca that is a good place to study.
Great location with everything - grocery store, bank, fitness, restaurants. Two bus stops within 5 minutes walk
Its convenient and safe, but is not particularly exciting from a cultural or culinary standpoint.
