Great building w distance

The Triangle, and especially the Echo, are optimal apartment buildings for those looking to get a Sabina-esque experience without the constant surroundings of other law students.

Great amenities and staff

Apartment building is very clean and well maintained. Staff is onsite every day to ensure any problems you are having are fixed right away. Bus stop for buses to school are located in close proximity and good grocery stores in walking distance. The building is full of working professionals and grad students and is very quiet. very pet friendly building with private dog park for tenant users.

Great Experience

Great building and we have a lot of first year students living here which is nice. It’s more affordable than downtown but super convenient to Rowling and still really nice place.

Echo Review

Great amenities, clean, friendly leasing office staff, free guest parking. In triangle area, so close to a few good restaurants, cafe, orange theory, etc. 10 min drive to Rowling. ~20-25 minutes for bus (including walking to/from stop).

Great apartment, great location

I really like living at Echo because of its location and quietness. It's very close to school - 30 min door to door by bus - and close to everything else. Also, the apartment is very quiet - no noisy neighbors.
Only thing downside is that the elevator is very slow, but once you get used to it, you will find a way.

Great Location and Great Apartment

Echo Apartments have amazing proximity to both the 801 and 803 which take you directly to campus. The Apartment is quiet, clean, and recently built. The management is also quite responsive to most requests and available 7 days a week. Only complaint would be that there aren't enough elevators and the storage space within the apartments is somewhat limited. In addition, there are many other MBA's that live in the apartment.

Live at The Echo!

The Echo has been amazing! It's a great location - less than 10 minutes to campus and close to great restaurants, workout studios, and grocery stores. The building has an amazing maintenance team and great amenities, with a gym, pool, grills, dog park, and free parking. I would highly recommend!

Personal Austin Oasis

Living at Echo feels like my own personal oasis within this business school experience. Because we are consistently working together on class projects or interview prep, I realized that I wanted to live alone so that I could appropriately recharge, when needed. As soon as I walked into the model apartment at the Echo, I knew it was home. I loved the big windows that provided an abundance of natural sunlight. However, safety was my #1 priority when choosing an apartment. As a single girl living alone, having this sense of safety and comfortability was paramount. There is also no ground floor apartment option!

Regarding accessibility, Echo is right next to the Triangle. Residents can easily walk to plenty of restaurants, Orange Theory, nail salon, etc. There is also a bus stop right outside the apartment complex.

Living north of campus provides some trade-offs. You'll spend a bit more money on Ubers than the rest of your classmates to go out downtown or on Rainey St. as there isn't a nightlife scene in this neighborhood. However, my monthly rideshare budget doesn't come close to the price difference with a 1BR downtown apartment! Also, my drive to school in the morning in ~10 minutes. If I leave campus during rush hour, it'll take me ~20 minutes to get home (ask folks south of the river how long it takes them!)

My only negative review of this apartment is the elevators are so slow, and unfortunately, there are no stairs from the garage to the apartments. I'm more than content that this is my biggest complaint.

Highly recommend that you check out Echo if you want a quiet retreat that offers significant neighborhood benefits!

Pretty good living

My only real complaint would be that there aren't discreet package lockers - so sometimes packages get left in the office and then they aren't accessible until the office opens.

There is a little dogpark out back and it is nearby a lot of cool places!

convenient and well-furnished

Echo is very convenient for getting to/from campus (sandwiched between the 803 and 801 rapid transit buses), is pretty well-furnished with new and modern appliances and has otherwise spacious accomodations and common areas. I would avoid renting a unit facing Lamar (it is noisy) and try to move in at off-peak times (weekday, e.g.) due to the significant constraints on space along 46th. To avoid over-paying, get on their list for pricing specials based on your size and space needs.

Getting around Triangle State

Triangle State Reviews

35 reviews
I love the peaceful and community feel of the Triangle neighborhood. We frequently have student meet-ups for study sessions, happy hours and yoga classes in our neighborhood park. Everything I need is in walking distance and I can even walk the ~3 miles to class when I am feeling ambitious.
Not as hip as dowtown and may be lacking in nightlife, but I wasn't looking for that. Love the proximity to campus, but not innondated with undergrads.
relatively safe neighbourhood. not too many homeless people around. there is a grocery store nearby
I love being close to restaurants, the Triangle park, Hyde Park, and access to 290 .
The Triangle offers lots of chain restaurants for easy, quick options for food. You can easily walk to these places. However, the surrounding area is full of unique Austin treasures. There are plenty of coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants that you'll want to check out as well. Within a few miles, you also have Central Market and an HEB. I love the overall neighborhood vibe.
Location:
Good but not great. This neighborhood might technically classified as Hyde Park but it is just on the outskirts. The neighborhood is walkable and access to the metrorapid bus is great. It's still not downtown and you will have to spend more money on uber or time waiting for the bus to go to Sixth Street/Rainey Street/East Sixth to go out.

Transportation:
You can take either the metrorapid bus or the city bus to campus with about a 7-10 minute ride. The bus will also take you downtown fairly quickly. Occasionally I will commute to school with my bike and leave 15 minutes before class and get there on time. (disclaimer: not something you want to do in the hotter months)

Food:
Central Market is a ten minute walk through the park behind the apartment complex. There is also a Natural Grocers that is good for picking up small items like produce that is located at 38th and Guadalupe. Further down the road there is a Randall's grocery store. There are several smaller restaurants/bars within walking distance from the apartment. There is a Starbucks across the street as well as a coffee shop on Guadualupe called La Tazza Fresca that is a good place to study.
Great location with everything - grocery store, bank, fitness, restaurants. Two bus stops within 5 minutes walk
Its convenient and safe, but is not particularly exciting from a cultural or culinary standpoint.
