North Austin

Charming Neighborhood, Close University of Texas
North Austin is a family-friendly neighborhood with a peaceful and quiet vibe, yet near tons of things to do and see. Many neighborhoods in North Austin were formed shortly after World War II, with veterans using their GI Bill benefits to attend the University of Texas and settle in the area. To this day, the streets are adorned with charming bungalow-style houses built in the 1940s and 1950s, as well as a few diners and gas stations from that era. Restaurants, bars, and shopping are easily accessible. Some great eateries in the area include Topgolf, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Cafe Java, and P. Terry’s Burger Stand. There are also many famous chains in the area if you are looking for the familiar - including Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Dave & Busters.

North Austin is nearby an amazing park called Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park. Within the park is a system of biking \ and hiking trails. It also features a public pool and playground. For lovers of the outdoors, this is a signature spot to hang and mingle. Students and professors seeking proximity to the University of Texas couldn’t find a better spot to live. It’s perfect for people looking for a quiet neighborhood yet close enough to Austin’s action.
