Awful apartment management

The apartment itself is pretty decent. More spacious and nicer than MPP at only a bit more rent per month. However, the management team here is stretched beyond their capacity. My roommate and I arrived to move in on our prearranged move-in date to find that our apartment had not been cleaned from the last tenants. The floors, rugs, closets, etc. were all gross, the counters in the kitchen disgusting, and the refrigerator and freezer still had food from the last tenants. We had to stay a night in MDA's model apartment, and only received a rent abatement for 2 days plus a $250 stipend. This placed significant move-in stress on us, as we had to leave for our random walk less than 48 hours after our move in. Now that we're settled in, we're having maintenance issues (toilets running, leaky faucets) that management is slow to fix. Would not recommend to new Booth students.

worst management team ever, do not live here

Facilitate in poor condition. Usually take more than 2 weeks to repair. Worst management team and maintenance team I ever met! Don’t live here. Unreasonable Utility fee, not a good deal.

Love having in-unit washer and dryer

Apartment is nice with big windows and an in-unit washer and dryer. Bathroom is large with nice shower.

Relatively small living room and bedrooms. Well lit. Nice appliances in kitchen.

Top floor community space is nice for hosting small groups and for studying. If you want to host a party on the top floor, management is rigid about letting in anyone that isn’t on the guest list.

Great Space, Bad Management

I've had a pretty good experience living here. The front desk and maintenance staff are wonderful! I've had bad experiences with the management - they aren't good at communicating if there is a problem.

The unit itself is nice. It's small and not as "luxurious" as the ads made it sound, but it's quiet and the view is great.

beautifully decorated, great location

The rooftop of this place is wonderful, also the front desk and matanence employees are gerat and I actually got to become friends with them. Dog friendly with easy access to outside in the back with doggy bags and everything. Super close to the Chicago theater and everything downtown Chicago has to offer.

63 E Lake

This apartment is great overall. I would recommend friends to live here. Great location. Close to CTA. I do not consider moving anytime soon. The price of rent is worth everything that the building had to offer. I would like to find a bigger apartment in the building.

Great building

I like this apt building a lot. The only downside is that my apt windows don't close easily. This is a huge hassle and I always have to call the concierge downstairs to help me with this (but they are very accommodating). The management is also great!

The Loop Reviews

Very secure and tranquil. Very close to public transportations. Namely millennium station which I use to ride the Metra trains to campus.
Very close to the lake and navy pier
Great park surrounded by all the buildings.
There’s good supermarket that has everything. A couple restaurants and coffee shops are also there.
Loop is central and great to get to other neighborhoods. Quick train access to Hyde Park (35min door to seat). Mostly MBA students in building
Feels like a neighborhood even though you are in the heart of the city
The Loop is great because it is so easy to get anywhere in the city! Also, we are next to many cool sights, and River North is very walkable.
Location is central to everything and with majority of students living here, hard to envision living elsewhere during Booth
Great access to stores, restaurants, and excellent transit to get anywhere in Chicago you may want to go to!
Location is good in terms of transit proximity. The loop is not a great area for food/activities but river north is very close and has grocery stores/restaurants, etc.
It’s the loop. It’s full of tourists, but all my friends live here. Trade offs are everywhere. Sooooo close to train (under rated).
