The Heights at LaSalle reviews and highlights
- responsive maintenance
- great social presence
- new complex with modern amenities
- spacious bathrooms
- close to public transportation
- relatively small gym
- great study rooms for group meetings
- overpriced for what you get
- great pool and grilling area
- spacious units
Good price quality/ratio
The residence is located close to Fuqua, 5 min by car 15 min by foot.
Most of the MMS students are in the complex so there is a very good mood there.
Apartments are correct and fully equipped.
The management team is not super welcoming but they do the job.

One of the better apartments in the area
The apartment has kept us safe from any crime. The rooms are spacious and have an open concept feeling. Closet space is a little lacking for a couple sharing one closet but more than enough if you are living here alone. Some of the appliances and apartment finishings are flimsy and prone to breaking but the maintenance staff is responsive enough to resolve these issues. The bus stop is right in front of the apartment complex so transportation to Duke is very convenient. I wish that the trash valet services also came on the weekend and picked up more than one cardboard box each time. Overall, the staff keeps the property clean and I enjoyed living here.

The Heights
The Heights is a great residential community very close to Duke's campus. It has all the necessary amenities and some extra. The staff are kind and very responsive.

Convenient but there are better apt complexes
This apartment complex is close to school (~5 min drive) and the apartments are nice. That being said, the area surrounding the complex is not and there are some safety issues (eg problems of break ins).

Pretty convenient living
Maintenance is super nice and responsive here. Gym is open in the club house at all hours. Free breakfast in the clubhouse from 6-9am on weekdays. Leasing office is helpful whenever you need anything.

The Lows and The Heights
My experience has been exceedingly positive, there are not that many things to complain about. I would say that my favorite thing is that a good number of Fuquans live here which gives a sense of community. The apartment also has a good amount of space and the amenities are new.
I would say my least favorite thing is that you can't pay the rent with your card and need to write a check or money order which just seems antiquated. Also, repairs and maintenance can be somewhat slow, so be ready to wait three days to get your microwave fixed. Finally, do not lose any of the things they give you when you first move in, because they will make you pay through your nose to replace them.

Super expensive. I moved to campus walk after my first semester.
