Good location, very social
Most of the program lives here, so it's very convenient for pregames and team meetings. The pool and gym are nice amenities but nothing crazy.

Heights at Lasalle
Doesn't feel very safe. Amenities present but have to be paid for extra compulsorily. Management is responsive but since my moving in has clamped down on several amenities (pool shutting down after dark, clubhouse/study area shutting down after midnight).

Most MMS students
The biggest advantage of staying at the Heights is that most MMS students stay there. However a lot has changed over my course of being at the Heights. Heights was known for its parties , but now the management has become really strict and shuts down the pool area at sunset and also shuts down the common area and gym at midnight. We used to have free printing at the start, but 1 month into the lease the management removed all the printers from the common area.
The security here is a joke. Heights prides itself to be a gated community but there is literally no boundary wall surrounding the community. You need your key or enter a code to enter your apartment building, but even that is useless as literally everyone in Durham knows the building code. That being said it is still safer than the likes of Poplar west and Campus Walk.
For the rent one pays, the Lofts and Trinity Common are much better than the Heights.

The Management is very unprofessional and rude.

Love the apartment
I love my own apartment, but I wish they had a dog park and a bigger gym.

Best of both worlds
We have a fantastic apartment, the gym is a little small but free breakfast if you wake up in time, a lovely club house and amazing views.

Heights
Great location and nice furnishings. Maintenance of pool, gates, and elevators needs to be better.
