Great amenities and distance but a bit $$

Great property and amenities, clean and modern. Within short walking distance of NMH. However is a bit pricey.

The Streeter

It's been a great experience! Although a little pricey, it has an in-unit washer and dryer, lots of storage, a nice and quiet place to live, great management, and only about a 5-minute walk to school. Lots of great floor plans, including a junior studio option. I have not experienced any problems and it was cleaned, fixed up, and move-in ready upon my arrival.

Very attentive management and top-notch facilities. The location of course is exceptional, despite being very far from UChicago

Great location. Mediocre value

I love being at the streeter. It’s got everything I need really close to me. There is a CTA bus stop right across the street that takes me straight to school. But the only drawback is that rent can’t be kind of expensive. Other than that, this place is in the heart of all the action.

Amazing place to live

Staff is very friendly and super responsive. I love all the little resident appreciation, such as sending me a birthday card. I have not had a single problem living here. The common areas are clean and the stafff goes aboveboard and beyond. The door staff is also fantastic. This building is very well managed. I love the complimentary coffee machine downstairs. I love living here.

Fantastic Amenities and Friendly People

I've been here for about a month now and I've met almost all of my neighbors and have found that this building is home to a mix of young professionals, medical students, and young families. The building staff is so helpful and polite. The amenities are great- pool, hot tub, gym, free coffee in the lobby, parking in the building, restaurants in the building- just to name a few!

Perfect location for Feinberg, almost feels like a small slice of a college town because so many of your neighbors will be students, residents, nurses, etc at the hospital. You do get sirens fairly often depending on where you live since the emergency room is very close. The neighborhood doesn't have too many restaurants/bars but it is walking distance to River North and Gold Coast and the rest of the city is easily accessed by public transport. Much safer than most neighborhoods in Chicago.
Streeterville is a very nice neighborhood. There are plenty of parks and grocery stores. There is some late night crime due to the location downtown and close to the beach, but overall nothing worse than anywhere else.

There are some more expensive restaurants and fast food places. Navy Pier attracts a lot of tourists and they can be annoying to navigate around.
I enjoy living in Streeterville since it's near many of Chicago attractions without feeling overwhelming like in the Loop. I am able to walk around safely at night and I like going jogging in Millennium Park. My biggest complaint would be the lack of greenery in the area and how the city can feel a little bit insulating at times. Public transportation is great. This area is pricey, which is why I decided to have a roommate.
The Streeterville area was still pretty sleepy when I moved here three years ago. Since then, there has been an incredible amount of development. New luxury apartments and condos are going up, several new restaurants, a brand new target and Whole Foods. Its become a great place for professionals who enjoy living downtown, but without the club crowds in River North.
There are a few buses that are near by that help get residents down to the loop. Also it's pretty easy to walk around and the cross walks are pedestrian friendly. I'm always able to get around by foot and buses/trains. Streeterville is a very safe neighborhood and I've never felt unsafe walking around at night. The streets are well lit.
Noise is not usually too big of an issue in this neighborhood; it's pretty quiet at night.
There are multiple grocery stores nearby for multiple choices. Also there are a bunch of great places to eat so one will not get bored with options.
While on the expensive end in Chicago, streeterville is safe, has all the necessities (look for apts near grocery stores if you don't have a car!!), is super close to school (and most feinberg students so convenient for socializing), and is super close proximity to restaurants and bars.
This building is located in the center of everything you could possibly need. Whole foods and Jewel within walking distance, easy to get to the lake front, and plenty of good restaurants and bars. The only down side is that it does not really have a "neighborhoody" feel.
Love how close we are to the medical school, makes going to class really easy. A lot of students live in Streeterville so it is very easy to hangout with friends. There are also a few coffee shops in the neighborhood that are very fun to study at!
