Good management and great location
My experience has been great so far! The management team is responsive and the maintenance team is quick. The utilities are as advertised, and there's plenty of parking. My neighbors are mostly quiet and I haven't had any major issues yet. The management team does monthly events for the residents to get to know each other. The apartment is insulated so I don't have to turn on the heating at all. One thing to note is that the train is audible from the apartments, but it doesn't wake me up at night at all. There's a package room which works well most of the time, but sometimes the carriers don't leave the packages inside the package room. The apartment is really close to Main Station and near one of the Intercampus shuttle stops. I also love all the shops that are nearby and the area is great! One thing to note is that there was a break-in recently, but there was no sign of forced entry, so it's important to remember to lock your doors!

Great option for couples and families
Great building if you are looking for a high-end apartment and willing to trade off the convenience of living right on campus. The building is only about 15 months old. You get more square footage and better finishings (granite countertops, double sinks, new appliances, in-unit laundry, etc.) compared to the main Kellogg buildings. The closest comp would be 1717 Ridge. The only downside is AMLI is just under 2 miles south of the Jake. Transit options to campus are Main St Purple line stop, campus shuttle, or bike. Uber is now in Evanston, so getting back from bars late-night is much easier. The Main St UPN stop is nearby, so getting to downtown Chicago is actually easier living here than on campus. However, there are only a few Kellogg folks living in the building, so far less social activity within the building compared to the Optimas or Park Evanston. Would recommend for couples living together, especially if you have a JV working in Chicago--there is plenty of space for both to work from home, unit is much nicer and larger than typical student housing, and it is a relatively easy commute to downtown. If you are moving to Evanston solo and/or want to be in the heart of campus, probably not an ideal spot.

Recently built, quiet community with great amenities
Excellent apartment with hardwood floors, granite countertops and plenty of space. In house gym, rooftop patio with fire pit and grills, huge common room with TVs and computers. Management is incredibly responsive. A little more expensive but the Intercampus Shuttle stops in front of the building and drops you off at school. Great experience!
