Close, decent
One bedroom is spacious and located at the end of the building so separated from hallway noise. Clean, no pests. Occasional minor maintenance issues, it's an old building, but fairly responsive. Only one dryer (in the basement) works well. Large elevator has been out for several months, and small elevator occasionally gets stuck, so better to use stairs.

Old building, QOL issues
The apartment is old and has constant minor to major issues. The elevators (all of them) kept breaking down, the hot water stopped working, the drains keep getting clogged. The apartment is close to the Law School which is a plus and is otherwise relatively cozy (when things are working properly).

Close to campus and cheap
While the Plaisance is certainly not a luxury experience, the proximity to the law school and the price are hard to beat. Additionally, the property management is usually pretty on top of any requests and maintenance. The only issue is that the elevators are a little old, so they are often out of order.

Bang for your buck
The Plaisance isn't fancy at all but it's right next to the law school and has everything you need for a good price. This is not luxury living, but it's a solid building with responsive management and a good community.

Plaisance
Near school, good space. Some amenities are old and sometimes need repair (elevators, washer/dryers). Overall, it’s okay.

Honest Assessment
The building location is great for law school. Easy commute through all weather conditions. The apartment building, however, emanates knocking noises from the heating furnaces of the apartment. Additionally, maintenance is incompetent and/or lazy. Perks of the apartments here are they are carpeted, have many appliances, and are close to campus security

Woodlawn Reviews
It might not be the most social area, but it's not a bad place to live.
