Great amenities, modern apartment, really glad I live here

I wanted to live somewhere near MPP that was a bit nicer, had better amenities, and had a washer and dryer. Marquee has been fantastic so far. Really happy with the apartment and with the management. I also really appreciate connecting directly to the mall and the pedway.

Apartment itself is very nice. Also have never heard a peep from any neighbor, so I think the insulation is great. Maintenance team is super responsive.

Fantastic!!!

Right on top of a Blue Line L stop and a mall and in the heart of the theater district, it's a bit pricey but it's 100% worth it. Responsive management, in-building parking and high-quality units. The walk-in closet pushed me over and pedway access for the winter.

Good amenities and Management team

Positives:
- All units are very new, with a modern feeling and good appliances.
- Only had one (very minor) maintenance issue so far that was resolved in minutes
- Amenities are very good (pool, hot tub, grills, gym and sauna, party room, etc.)
- All apartments have in-unit washer / dryers
- Right on top of Block 37 w/ pedway access and direct access to blue and red line
- Very pet friendly community, the dog bathing station is convenient
- Booth student discount

Negatives:
- My particular 1-bedroom plant doesn't have a lot of closet space
- Mariano's is a bit of a walk (though you can take the red line to jewelosco)

Uncertain:
- Management just changed on the property
- Top floor hot tub won't be open year-round anymore

Apartment good, but sound a problem

Overall, the unit is nice. There biggest problem is that it's a very popular block for street performers. The sound from these performers is very audible even from the 20th floor, and they play almost every day, morning til night. Amenities are fairly nice, though one of the hot tubs is never open (not much of a problem if you ask me, since the other one works). Packing in the attached garage can be a pain, as the garage is shared with the mall's valet parking. The valets won't think twice about blocking your way in/out of the garage during busy hours.

Amazing Amenities

Marquee has amazing amenities and is a brand new building (built 3 years ago). The leasing office is super responsive and helpful. They offer a discount for Booth students, discounted overnight parking for guests, and a great mail room service. It is connected by pedway to MPP, subway and the train station.

Great place

Amenities are great. Beautiful, clean building. Connected to pedway, blue line and red line. One issue is that there is a large gap between the floor and the front door, meaning you can hear everything that happens in the hallways, barking dogs, etc. Also beware of bucket drummers

Great building with lovely staff

Great amenities including pool, grills, great gym on the top floor, a nice roof deck, a dog run and dog washing room. There's an awesome rooftop hot tub but it has been having issues and I wouldn't count on it being open. The management is all really nice--no complaints (unlike some of our friends in other buildings). The Block 37 mall including blue and red CTA stations are located below the building and can be accessed without going outside. It's 2-3 blocks away from MPP/MILA/73EL where most students live -- close enough that people are happy to come over for parties/pregames and I have no problem walking home late at night from meetings. Only downside: I wish we were a bit closer to Mariano's & the Lake Shore East dog park.

The Loop Reviews

Very secure and tranquil. Very close to public transportations. Namely millennium station which I use to ride the Metra trains to campus.
Very close to the lake and navy pier
Great park surrounded by all the buildings.
There’s good supermarket that has everything. A couple restaurants and coffee shops are also there.
Loop is central and great to get to other neighborhoods. Quick train access to Hyde Park (35min door to seat). Mostly MBA students in building
Feels like a neighborhood even though you are in the heart of the city
The Loop is great because it is so easy to get anywhere in the city! Also, we are next to many cool sights, and River North is very walkable.
Location is central to everything and with majority of students living here, hard to envision living elsewhere during Booth
Great access to stores, restaurants, and excellent transit to get anywhere in Chicago you may want to go to!
Location is good in terms of transit proximity. The loop is not a great area for food/activities but river north is very close and has grocery stores/restaurants, etc.
It’s the loop. It’s full of tourists, but all my friends live here. Trade offs are everywhere. Sooooo close to train (under rated).
