Casa San Marino

The apartments at Casa San Marino are large and comfortable and the monthly rent is extremely affordable considering the unit size (especially compared to other costs of rent across the Metro-Detroit area). However, the property manager is passive-aggressive at best and openly hostile at worst. When calling to report an issue, ask a question, or request a repair, she actively talks over me in every single conversation I have, frequently interrupting me to the point where I don't even get to ask what I needed to ask in the first place. Additionally, as of late, repairs and maintenance requests have been taking an *extremely long time* to be completed. I fully understand that staffing issues during the COVID-19 pandemic result in increased wait times, yet these wait times are very high even in the cases of the most *minor* of repairs and maintenance (such as replacing lightbulbs, cabinet hinges, or smoke alarms). To make matters worse, when pressed for incomplete and delayed requests, the property manager becomes hostile, defensive, and difficult to work with. To be frank, her attitude, demeanor, and performance bring my personal rating of Casa San Marino down from a high 8/10 to a low 6/10. I actively avoid calling her or communicating with her except when absolutely necessary.
