south mesa ucsd grad housing
I love my apartment. I think Mesa is the best of grad housing - more private, more green area, nice big balcony, relatively large living space. It is a little dated and the appliances are older, but this also gives it a cozy feel. Lots of storage space. The only issue with graduate housing is that you may have a random roommate, and this doesn't always work out well.

South Mesa Review
The apartments are very spacious, and there is an insane amount of storage. There is lots of outdoor green space for kids/dogs to play in. The area is not dense, close to campus, and a very good price for living in La Jolla. It does get kinda moldy, but otherwise grad housing is very responsive. Technically public property, so theft can be common, especially in laundry rooms. There is no AC, and portable ACs are not allowed, however lots of people have them anyway.

It's cheap, but that's about it
The units are fine, but not the best. Buildings are really old so noise insulation sucks. First floor can get really cold while upper floor can get really hot. Neighbors can easily be heard so it's up to luck on if you get good ones or not. The housing office does nothing about noisy neighbors except for encouraging you to leave.

Nice house with relatively cheap rent
Very spacious, with lots of storage space. There is a relatively large balcony. There is good greenery around, and there is also a small garden. The room is generally H-shaped, so the ventilation is not very good.

The apartment is unfurnished and slightly old. Rooms are spacious and comfortable for double occupancy

9252 Regents Rd review
My experience at 9252 Regents Rd has been good. The apartment is spacious and so are the rooms, which is something I like compared to the other apartments. The laundry room and garbage disposal is right across from the apartment. However, other amenities like the pool, gyms, and rec areas are a bit of a walk from the apartment.
The walls are a bit thin and the apartment had a lot of maintenance issues when I first moved in.

Old, musty, moldy apartment at Mesa South
Mesa South is an old apartment complex that has old appliances, no AC, poor air ventilation. It smells musty and easily develops mold colonies that made me and my partner extremely sick when we were staying there and thus had to move out due to the terrible air quality (despite airing, cleaning etc).

Good management
The fixit group of UCSD grad housing is very responsible and always comes in time and successfully solve the problems

Good but limited availability
First of all, the prices for new batch would be around 950, I like that its good space for the price.
