Would Recommend to CUA Student

I am happy here. The facilities are nice and everything is clean. It's easy to get to CUA from here--about 20 minutes driving and about 35 minutes by metro (including walking to and from the metro).

Great place to live

I really like this apartment. It has a lot of amenities including a great gym, a dog run, a rooftop pool, and a 24 hour concierge. I feel very safe there and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is expensive and you do get what you pay for. It's close to lots of dining options and it's an easy 20 minute bike ride or 30 minutes on the DC circulator (ride for a $1). Parking is an additional $210 a month but you don't really need a car. It's also very close to union station and less than a mile to the national mall. My particular floor plan is cheaper because it faces the courtyard. Less sun... but much quieter.

Love the Apartment

I love this apartment so much! The community is great, the other residents are nice, and the location is very convenient. The gym is very big and has everything that I need for my workouts which is very important to me. I also love the rooftop for the summer.

Great Apartment for Recent Grads

Young crowd but very professional and clean building. The rooftop pool (and BBQ area) is the place to be in the city on the weekends during the summer and you're a 5 minute walk from metro. The gym is as good as LifeTime or equinox and they offer free spin classes, too.

Great Apartment

I've enjoyed this building - the shared amenities (gym, rooftop, pool, work space) are great and the few maintenance requests we have had to put in are quickly fixed. It's a relatively young building with a lot of grad school students. Big windows and modern design are great. It is right by the highway and police station though so is very loud with traffic and sirens but otherwise the location is pretty good.

If you want to live in DC - it is great!

I absolutely love living in DC and the Mount Vernon Square area specifically. The apartment complex has wonderful amenities including a dog park, on site dry cleaning delivery, a top notch gym, private gym classes, a 24 hour concierge, free fancy coffee machine, and the list goes on! The building is also located directly across the street from a renovated 24 hour Safeway! My neighbors have all been really nice and I have met a good amount of Capital One associates that also live here as well. I think the only real downfall of living here is the commute to work. I usually hop on the red line at gallery place and then switch to silver at metro center - I would say door to door it takes about 35 minutes to commute to the office via metro and about 30 minutes via the car.

Love this area, right near Logan Circle and 14th street which has so much good food and nightlife!
Amazing neighborhood. Close to GW and close to so much good food and nice restaurants.
Sometimes noisy, but the front desk quickly deal with it if you ask
Great, Safe neighborhood with great food and close to campus.
Foggy Bottom/West End are great for 1Ls -- you will get to know the area around school and you will be conveniently within a few blocks of GW. There are a lot of food options, but night life is lacking (though you're a short walk to DuPont and Georgetown). There are plenty of busses and metros around.
Good only in the sense that it is near the school, that you can receive warnings from the school and D.C. (if signing up), that you can be assured of safety generally even if coming in late due to pulling off night studies in the library. However, noise levels are high, so you can hardly study indoors at home because of people wanting to earn money in exchange for their loud and terrible performances. This means that you may ultimately end up outside for work or rest during morning/afternoon. Noise in the evening can be high too due to some people having gone drunk. Noise (some loud trucks and mostly machine sounds) and lights can be too much for sleeping deeply.
It's really only convenient because of how close the law school is. Otherwise, I would not live here. Definitely a business/corporate area that shuts down on the weekends. Not a lot of options for going out to eat unless it's either overpriced or fast food. The only grocery store that's walking distance is Whole Foods, which I personally hate shopping at.
The Aston is the furthest GW housing from the campus, so we had to walk more than any other student to get to class. We are also the furthest away from any Metro station, but still not considerably far when you look at the big picture. There are grocery stores, bars, and restaurants nearby which is a perk, but it is pretty noisy around here. But I guess that's anywhere in Downtown DC. There are always cars honking, ambulance sirens, etc. But the area seems pretty safe.
