Top Notch

I love our apartment. The one bedroom+sunroom is a great amount of space for a couple just moving in together. You can have time together and apart as you please. The fact that our building has one of the best rooftops (fire pit, TVs, pool) is just the cherry on top to the gym and club rooms at our disposal.

Pretty Okay

Beautiful building, but lots of students who are noisy and messy in common areas. However, I think these issues would be the same at any of the other buildings in the area due to proximity to the law school. Management is just okay - the folks in the leasing office are pretty helpful, but often the people sitting at the front desk are inadequate.

Great space that comes at a cost

The Mount Vernon Triangle Meridian is a very comfortable community full of young professionals(consultants, grad students, etc.) The roof top provides a very nice few of the city along with a small but nice pool and a few grills that make for a nice summer bbq. The gym is exceptional and includes dumbbells, an array of machines, ellipticals, and bikes(includes spin class videos) along with a studio which can be used for stretching, yoga etc. The rooms themselves are very nice with wooded floors for the common areas and carpet for the bedroom. Maintenance is relatively prompt and there is free coffee near the front desk. Location is great and includes a Safeway across the street along with a variety of restaurants around Mt Vernon Triangle and is relatively close to both Chinatown/Gallery Place and the Shaw area. Obviously like most apartment complexes like this mine main concern is cost which is of course pretty high as is expected(unfortunately) in DC. Overall this is a fantastic apartment complex and I shall sorely miss it when I move out.

Beautiful building

Best amenities in downtown DC. Incredible rooftop, lounge, pool, and views of the monuments. Beautiful lobby with a business center, conference room, lounge seating, and free coffee. Solid gym. Apartments are spacious and modern. Great location. Can't ask for much more. Only complaint is the noise from the entrance to 395.

Never want to leave

I love the building, the staff, the location, the ROOF. Only downside is that packages take forever when they're "checking them in" (once had to wait three days) but they're getting better with it!

Metro is about .5mi to Green/Yellow and Red. Safeway is right across the street and 24 hours!

Big with amenities, but expensive

The apartment building is new and comfortable, but you definitely pay for all of the perks. Location is great and easy to get around - lots of restaurants and shops nearby plus access to 2 metro lines and easy to walk. Front desk is helpful and the common spaces are very nice.

Management is completely inept and out to screw you

We have been in constant battles with our building manager over some condensation related issues last year. He is completely inept and person- he does not care about the safety of the residents or their experience in the building.

Fabulous place to live

The Meridian is a fabulous place to live if you can afford it. I will most likely renew my lease for another year. I would recommend the apartment building to anyone looking for a young professional atmosphere. The building is very pet friendly and new!

New Modern Apartments Near Chinatown

The Meridian is a beautiful, safe apartment community walking distance to several DC attractions. The newly added second building created more amenities including the rooftop patio with grills and scenic views of the city. My only complaint about the building was when I moved out the concierge double booked the loading dock so I had to move out in the middle of someone else's move causing confusion. The maintenance staff even put two of my boxes in the dumpster thinking it was trash during the middle of my move. The property manager did not take responsibility for the incident and did not even apologize. Because of that I caution people who are moving in/out to be extra cautious of their belongings.

Best Amenities in DC

We have a huge 2BR apartment, so we built a wall to turn it into a 3BR and it is still huge. The amenities are unmatched by any building in the area. It's luxurious, convenient, and you could literally live here without ever leaving the building. There's a Safeway directly across the street, as well as other takeout food places. It's convenient, being within a 10 minute walk of 2 metro stations. It has a spinning studio, yoga studio and fully-stocked gym-- something uncommon for an apartment building. The lobbies are designed and decorated beautifully, with plenty of space to do work. The roof is one of the best in DC with an amazing pool and plenty of space for entertaining and chic, modern decor. I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Love this area, right near Logan Circle and 14th street which has so much good food and nightlife!
Amazing neighborhood. Close to GW and close to so much good food and nice restaurants.
Sometimes noisy, but the front desk quickly deal with it if you ask
Great, Safe neighborhood with great food and close to campus.
Foggy Bottom/West End are great for 1Ls -- you will get to know the area around school and you will be conveniently within a few blocks of GW. There are a lot of food options, but night life is lacking (though you're a short walk to DuPont and Georgetown). There are plenty of busses and metros around.
Good only in the sense that it is near the school, that you can receive warnings from the school and D.C. (if signing up), that you can be assured of safety generally even if coming in late due to pulling off night studies in the library. However, noise levels are high, so you can hardly study indoors at home because of people wanting to earn money in exchange for their loud and terrible performances. This means that you may ultimately end up outside for work or rest during morning/afternoon. Noise in the evening can be high too due to some people having gone drunk. Noise (some loud trucks and mostly machine sounds) and lights can be too much for sleeping deeply.
It's really only convenient because of how close the law school is. Otherwise, I would not live here. Definitely a business/corporate area that shuts down on the weekends. Not a lot of options for going out to eat unless it's either overpriced or fast food. The only grocery store that's walking distance is Whole Foods, which I personally hate shopping at.
The Aston is the furthest GW housing from the campus, so we had to walk more than any other student to get to class. We are also the furthest away from any Metro station, but still not considerably far when you look at the big picture. There are grocery stores, bars, and restaurants nearby which is a perk, but it is pretty noisy around here. But I guess that's anywhere in Downtown DC. There are always cars honking, ambulance sirens, etc. But the area seems pretty safe.
