Meridian at Mt Vernon Triangle

Meridian at Mt Vernon Triangle is a wonderful place to call home! My apartment is spacious and the management has been easy to work with when needed. More pros of living in this apartment includ, the roof top deck over looking the Capitol and Washington Monument, the online residence portal, dog grooming station, and gym. Some of the great features included within my apartment are the Nest thermostat that I can control from my phone, washer and dryer in unit, and high ceilings.

Hidden Chinatown/Shaw Gem

I lived in Meridian Mt Vernon Triangle for a year with two roommates in a two bedroom plus a den apartment with two bathrooms. The apartment was brand new, never been lived in. The appliances were nice. The space was rather large for standard DC apartments. We also had a balcony that overlooked the neighborhood. The building was well kept and modern. The maintenance team was very responsive in replacing lightbulbs and oiling a hinge in one of the doors. Overall beautiful building located in between Shaw and Chinatown. Walking distance to Red, Yellow and Green metro lines.

Great Location!!

This building is best for the location and the amenities. Great rooftop with grills, and a pool, and lounge areas. The gym is beautiful and they also offer studio classes, including spin.

Would recommend you're willing to pay a lot for a one bedroom. Good for couples!

Excellent, but expensive

I love living at the Meridian. The apartment is high quality, and there is on-site maintenance and management almost 24/7. The amenities, such as a large gym and swimming pool, are also amazing. However, it is expensive; I doubt I'll be able to afford living there for another year.

Decent Apartment, Awful Staff and Management

Lived here a little over a year. Good location and decent apartment for the value. The staff and management are awful though. Not nice, never smile, every request is an inconvenience for them. Most all of the concierges are rude girls that clearly hate their job. If you need your package from the mailroom the will probably be busy (shopping for purses online or talking to friends on the phone, really anything but their job) and want you to come back.

Overall very solid

Meridian MVT is overall a great place to live. Walls are pretty soundproof in our experience, appliances and finishings in apartment are all great. Sunroom is a wonderful feature. Gym in phase II is spacious, has well-maintained equipment, and doesn't get too crowded. Rooftop gets very crowded but at off-peak times is a really nice spot.

Great location and amenities.

The Meridian at Mount Vernon is right across the street from a 24 hour Safeway. You are 7 min walking distance from the Chinatown Metro stop and the Convention Center Metro stop. I work downtown and my commute is a 25 min walk to work. The apartment also has great quality complementary coffee and tea 24 hours. The gym in the phase two property has everything you could ever need. (even a barre/yoga studio and TRX bands!)

Terrible Management

I lived in Meridian Mt Vernon Triangle with two roommates. When it came time for me to move I reserved the loading dock and made arrangements to have a U Haul. The concierge let a moving company use the loading dock at the same despite me actually having a reservation. In the process two of my boxes disappeared. The property manager took no responsibility for their actions. This property is terribly managed and I would never recommend people to live here.

Building

Decent building, management and repairmen are great, along with the cleaning staff. Front desk is helpful at times (depends on the person), during busy hours (after work), have to wait a bit to get packages, which is understandable. So it's not a bad place to live.

Great location!

The Meridian at Mt. Vernon Triangle is great! The area is really developing quickly, and there is so much to do in the area. The building is relatively new, and management really tries to create a community vibe in the building through happy hours and other social events. Great place for young couples to live.

Love this area, right near Logan Circle and 14th street which has so much good food and nightlife!
Amazing neighborhood. Close to GW and close to so much good food and nice restaurants.
Sometimes noisy, but the front desk quickly deal with it if you ask
Great, Safe neighborhood with great food and close to campus.
Foggy Bottom/West End are great for 1Ls -- you will get to know the area around school and you will be conveniently within a few blocks of GW. There are a lot of food options, but night life is lacking (though you're a short walk to DuPont and Georgetown). There are plenty of busses and metros around.
Good only in the sense that it is near the school, that you can receive warnings from the school and D.C. (if signing up), that you can be assured of safety generally even if coming in late due to pulling off night studies in the library. However, noise levels are high, so you can hardly study indoors at home because of people wanting to earn money in exchange for their loud and terrible performances. This means that you may ultimately end up outside for work or rest during morning/afternoon. Noise in the evening can be high too due to some people having gone drunk. Noise (some loud trucks and mostly machine sounds) and lights can be too much for sleeping deeply.
It's really only convenient because of how close the law school is. Otherwise, I would not live here. Definitely a business/corporate area that shuts down on the weekends. Not a lot of options for going out to eat unless it's either overpriced or fast food. The only grocery store that's walking distance is Whole Foods, which I personally hate shopping at.
The Aston is the furthest GW housing from the campus, so we had to walk more than any other student to get to class. We are also the furthest away from any Metro station, but still not considerably far when you look at the big picture. There are grocery stores, bars, and restaurants nearby which is a perk, but it is pretty noisy around here. But I guess that's anywhere in Downtown DC. There are always cars honking, ambulance sirens, etc. But the area seems pretty safe.
