Terrible Management

I lived at Meridian Mt. Vernon Triangle after a recommendation from a work colleague. Six months into moving they closed off one of our two balconies eliminating a huge source of natural sunlight. Then in the middle of their move maintenance staff threw away 2 of my storage bins that were next to my UHaul that contained several keepsake items that I can never replace. I will never live or recommend this property to anyone.

Great Amenities!

Beautiful rooftop pool, gym, and common areas. Apartments are brand new. Staff is mediocre. Similar in price to buildings in the surrounding area.

Great Deal

The apartments are much bigger and nicer than others in the neighborhood, and the amenities are better. Especially the gym and lobby area. Proximity to grocery store is unbeatable less than a block and easy access to Bikeshare and metro. I'd definitely live here again. Both leasing office and front desk staff are great and incredibly friendly and helpful. We've lived at three other buildings throughout the city and nowhere else were they as nice as here, especially not at the Meridian over on Mass Ave.

Location and Building Are Awesome

Great building and location. Close to the Mt. Vernon Sq and Chinatown metro stops, Safeway, Busboys, Chipotle, Sweetgreen, and Taylor Gourmet. It would be nice if I didn't have to come get people from the lobby after buzzing them through the call box (or delivery people) but apparently that's a safety issue. Great views from the rooftop of the city including the Capital and Washington Monument, pool, and grills. management needs to make sure the building does not become a public space--July 4th was a shit show. gym in the building is better than most but could use a bench press.

All in all its a cool building with a lot of young people to socialize with. many have dogs which cures my fix.

Alright location

Great Apartment - wish it was closer to the metro. Though, I live close enough to walk to work. The building management is pretty responsive although one of the front desk workers is very rude and management did not remove him from staff. I give this apartment a 8/10

Nice building, terrible people

The management at this apartment complex is terrible. They will nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING. Be prepared for fees tacked onto everything. Also, don't trust what they say over the phone--get everything in writing.

The concierge is outright hostile for no reason, judges the time of day or night you come back in, etc. Generally unpleasant demeanor. As a gay person, I felt very unwelcome. I have no idea if this has to do with my orientation or something else, but there was a lot of nasty passive aggressive behavior going on that I really didn't appreciate.

The amenities are nice, but keep in mind that they all have restrictions tied to them. You have to sign in a guest at the pool, you can't have open containers, the upstairs lounge closes precisely at 10PM (you'll get kicked out), and so on. The walls of this building are very thin, so be very careful when having people over--you'll likely get noise complaints.

Location is good, but the surrounding area is not as interesting as say, U Street.

Lots of young lawyers and some couples in the building. It is dog friendly.

Nice apartment experience

Overall the building management is fine, front desk service can be a bit slow during peak times. Maintenance repairs are quick and normally is completed the same day or next.

One compliant which probably cannot be resolved is that the windows do not soundproof the street noise, which can be very loud, even on the higher floors.

Love this area, right near Logan Circle and 14th street which has so much good food and nightlife!
Amazing neighborhood. Close to GW and close to so much good food and nice restaurants.
Sometimes noisy, but the front desk quickly deal with it if you ask
Great, Safe neighborhood with great food and close to campus.
Foggy Bottom/West End are great for 1Ls -- you will get to know the area around school and you will be conveniently within a few blocks of GW. There are a lot of food options, but night life is lacking (though you're a short walk to DuPont and Georgetown). There are plenty of busses and metros around.
Good only in the sense that it is near the school, that you can receive warnings from the school and D.C. (if signing up), that you can be assured of safety generally even if coming in late due to pulling off night studies in the library. However, noise levels are high, so you can hardly study indoors at home because of people wanting to earn money in exchange for their loud and terrible performances. This means that you may ultimately end up outside for work or rest during morning/afternoon. Noise in the evening can be high too due to some people having gone drunk. Noise (some loud trucks and mostly machine sounds) and lights can be too much for sleeping deeply.
It's really only convenient because of how close the law school is. Otherwise, I would not live here. Definitely a business/corporate area that shuts down on the weekends. Not a lot of options for going out to eat unless it's either overpriced or fast food. The only grocery store that's walking distance is Whole Foods, which I personally hate shopping at.
The Aston is the furthest GW housing from the campus, so we had to walk more than any other student to get to class. We are also the furthest away from any Metro station, but still not considerably far when you look at the big picture. There are grocery stores, bars, and restaurants nearby which is a perk, but it is pretty noisy around here. But I guess that's anywhere in Downtown DC. There are always cars honking, ambulance sirens, etc. But the area seems pretty safe.
