The Franson Risberg is an amazing place to live. It is specifically for missionaries or for those studying to serve as Christian workers (hence there are a lot of Moody students there). There is a great community and regularly held fellowship events. The building is right next to a police station which provides it with added security. Parking is free and laundry is in the basement. Because it is so affordable, it is difficult to get into, but people are also moving in and out because of their Christian work/studies. The management here is wonderful--they take great care of their residents and have a genuine concern for them. There is also a built-it guest room for for $40/night during the week and $50/night on the weekends which is a great option for visitors (but book it quickly because it fills up fast). The only thing that can be difficult is getting a bigger room (right now my husband and I live in a studio), so the space is limited. But over all it is a great place to live!

The Franson Risberg has been a positive experience all around. Though the apartment building is a little old itself, the value for what you are getting and the location is great. It's very close to a blue line stop and not far from 90/94. The neighborhood is safe and parking is almost always available on the first try.

Our little apartment has been wonderful. The landlords take great care of the building and deal with any problems quickly. I have been happy with the people in the building, and our neighbors are generally quiet. The value of the apartment is incredible. I would recommend it to anyone

If a married student looking for housing is interested in the Franson Riesburg as an option it is the best choice. The price is more than half off the price of living as an on campus student at moody. The commute is worth it. It is the best way to explore the city. The buildings are clean and well maintained.
