618 South Main reviews and highlights
- brand new building
- great amenities
- conveniently located close to downtown Ann Arbor
- nice gym
One of the best options honestly
While the rent is insanely high, especially for this small town (for those of us who come from big coastal cities), it's honestly one of the best options. They have a clubhouse, complementary coffee machine that makes all kinds of flavored lattes, complementary donuts every Friday, a gym, underground garage, 3 outdoor firepits with big cushioned seating, a decently sized pool/spa combo with lounge chairs outdoors in the warmer months, a conference, a printer/scanner with 10 free b&w prints per month, and a lending library with books for leisure reading. I live in a 600+ sq ft studio which is really large. I will say the windows aren't the most insulated as many resident units are still chilly even with the heater on.

Would Recommend... but Expensive
618 has good amenities (gym, pool, fire pits, etc.) and is easily walkable to campus and downtown. The building is quiet with its concrete walls and has plenty of natural light. Only downside is the high cost.

Expensive, but nice
You're going to pay more than you want, but it's nice to live in a well managed property with all of the amentities. The fire pits have been a god save during COVID and cold weather. I really like this apartment, but it's expensive.

618 S Main
618 is a great place to live. The amenities are what sets it apart from other student housing in Ann Arbor (e.g., gym, coffee/espresso machine, in-unit washer and dryer, pool, firepits, events with food and drink hosted by the building). The only downside is it's on the pricier side of housing options in Ann Arbor.

618 South Main
I’ve enjoyed living here so far. There are a lot of amenities and building staff are overall pretty good. I appreciate being close to Ross and other MBAs (so location is good) but not at the very heart of the social scene. It’s also super nice that They’ve also been trying to reinvigorate the building activities lately with yoga, a wine and cheese night, a pizza night, pumpkin carving, grab-and-go breakfast, etc., which is nice. It’s definitely on the more expensive side here but I think you get what you pay for

Great Management Team
Meg and Steven at 618 South Main make living in the building so useful. They are really helpful and always there to answer your questions. The building itself is up to date, has nice amenities and is a bit quieter than some of the other larger apartment complexes which can be nice for graduate students.

Best place to live but expensive
This apartment is the best place I have ever resided. The management is amazing and the accommodations above par. However, the price point is very high for A2.

Amazing place to live
Management is amazing - quick to respond to issues, love dogs, and always friendly. The amenities are great. Building is VERY clean. Coffee machine is wonderful too.

Great stand-alone building - location and appliances sub-par
Management is the best I've ever worked with. Very helpful. Building has all the amenities, one of the nicer ones in Ann Arbor, also one of the more expensive. Apartments can be on the cookie-cutter side, for those looking for more personalized experiences. Relatively far from Ann Arbor downtown, residential/convenience store vibes. AC/heat and laundry units are LOUD. In-unit laundry take 2 hours for a wash, 2 hours for a dry (single cycle). Many other Rossers in the building help with camaraderie.
