Expensive but helpful for living in a new city

Pricey but could be worth it

This place is very pricey but you do get what you paid for. Comes with concierge service that walks your dogs and feeds your fish when you're out of town. Also, little things they do like carrying your delivered groceries up to your apartment actually saves a lot of time. If you're in the South side you can get an amazing view of the new med school campus and all the green space.

Innova Living

Innova is a great place to live, especially once the HEC opens. The HEC is literally about a 2 minute walk from the front door of Innova because it is across the street. Though Innova is expensive, I like using the gym in the apartment building and there is a 24/7 concierge that can help you with things like walking your dog and getting your dry cleaning done. There is also a grocery delivery service (PrestoFresh) that delivers for free to Innova so you don't have to go grocery shopping. The building is also very secure with multiple locked doors between the entrance and my apartment.

Great apartment, but expensive!

Innova is very new (I was the first person to move into my unit in 2015). At the time, the monthly rent was expensive but reasonable for a new building. That being said, the prices have continued to rise each year, and I've been too lazy to move somewhere different.

Overall, the building is very nice. There are fantastic concierges that work 24/7. I have had few maintenance problems, and when I've called for assistance those problems are fixed quickly. The location was very convenient for me, being able to walk to both UH and CCF, plus with the new medical school opening across the street, I imagine this building will be in even higher demand.

Innova great but expensive

I’ve had only positive experiences at Innova! However, I think it is wildly overpriced compared to the other options in Cleveland Heights. It will be extremely convenient next year since it is directly across the street from the new med school. And you wouldn’t have to pay for parking or take any shuttles which is very appearing. If you’re willing to pay $1450 for a studio or $1800 for a one bedroom (plus $85 parking, $75 internet, and utilities) this place is great! But there are plenty more affordable options in the area.

Expensive... but is very nice!

Innova is a relatively new building and is located right next to the new school and clinic. There is a parking garage to park in. There is 24 hour security and a concierge. There is an outside bar area, a common game room and a gym. The staff there is very friendly. The rooms have their own washer/dryer, oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and garbage disposal. There are food places attached to Innova. They have happy hour every friday and various events they conduct. I have had no problems with noise from other residents. The only thing I don't like is the price.

Very expensive, but kinda worth it

I was very apprehensive about living here when I started my apartment search before 1st year, mainly because of the hefty sum of the rent that doesn't include parking or utilities. At the time, the new dental school was merely rumored and many didn't think it would happen anytime soon so I decided against Innova. I decided to make the move to Innova when the new school location was confirmed. Since my move, I have nothing but great comments about the staff and management. They made my move transition very smooth, answered all my questions, and were great throughout the whole process. The security of the building is phenomenal especially given the not so secure area around it. I thought it would be an issue but so far (knock on wood) I have had no issues. The caveat I would say would be that nothing is included. Utilities, WiFi, cable, and parking are all separate. My rent is for a very spacious 1 bedroom 1 bath. You can very easily get a studio and feel comfortable. The other downside living here would be that there's not much activity around in comparison to Triangle or anything close to University circle. There's no nearby grocery store or coffee shop however the management does offer free grocery delivery that you can set up. Given that as a 1st year you would spend all 4 years of dental school in the new building, it would be a great plus to be able to just cross the street and be at school.

Pricey but worth it

Although Innova is quite expensive, there's a lot of value in it. Although I wanted to live alone, I was nervous about feeling safe in a big city. I have no concerns regarding safety here, though! There's security on site 24/7 and security cameras everywhere, but I've never seen any disturbances in my time here. Living here is especially great if you have pets, because the concierge will check in on them and walk them whenever you need it. There's a lot of things the concierge will do that make your life as a medical student easier, from bringing packages to your apartment to helping with groceries. I rarely have maintenance issues, but there's an online portal where I can make a request and it's never taken more than 24 hours to get something fixed.

Great amenities, steep cost

Innova is a great place to live, although it does cost a lot. The biggest pluses were: extremely pet friendly place to live, very new so no issues with mold/pests, etc, thick walls so you don't hear neighbors, extremely friendly front desk staff. However, for the price you're paying, I found it a bit irritating that I would be woken up on some weekends (around 8am) by the sound of construction noises. Additionally, I had some mild temperature issues where my apartment was too hot in the winter (the maintenance people said it was because of good insulation and that they couldn't do too much about it). I basically never turned on my heat in the winter, which is a plus for cost I guess. Overall, a lovely place and I love that it's within walking distance to CCLCM, with some minor issues to keep in mind.

Lots of amenities and brand new building

As for the actual building, I have no complaints. I was the first person to live in my apartment so everything was brand new. The concierge service is great and they help you bring in groceries, brush the snow off your car, and are there for anything you need (even walk your dogs). I gave an 8 due to the high cost for all the administration problems I have experienced. When I signed my lease I was not told I would have to pay for parking and now I am being forced to pay about $100 per month for the garage they are building. There has also been a lot of construction noise but hopefully that will end when the garage opens in April. There is also not a lot of sunlight if the apartment is facing the back of the building (which they don't tell you when you sign a lease). There is a gym inside the building with great machines and stretching area. There is also security from 7pm-7am.

This neighborhood is fairly close to many restaurants and very close to the medical campus; however, it is also not a very safe area and I would not feel comfortable walking alone in this area at night.
The neighbors in adjacent buildings host loud parties frequently but you will not be able to hear it from inside the apartment. The people in the area are generally friendly. Most strangers ask me how my day is going or wish me a nice day on my walk to campus.
The neighborhood does not feel safe to walk around at night, but it is very close to campus so it is a tradeoff.
The surrounding neighborhood is not ideal, but I have never felt unsafe as a resident. If you travel in the right directions, there should not be a problem. I run outside by myself during the day and have always felt perfectly safe. There have been a very small number of incidents outside of the complex at night, but the building is secure and if you avoid walking outside alone at night then it shouldn't be a concern. I would qualify the HEC/Cleveland Clinic campus/University Circle more as my "neighborhood" than Hough itself since that is where I spend most of my time.
Very close to the school and clinic. Other than that there isn’t too much to do- it’s mostly the medical buildings. There are a few places to eat and CWRU main campus is within walking distance. The grocery stores that I like in Cleveland (Trader Joe’s and Giant Eagle) are a bit of a drive ~25 minutes. The closest target and Walmart and also a ~15 minute drive.
There's not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity, however there are a couple of restaurants (Penn Station, Fluffy Duck, Urban Kitchen) and a pharmacy on the first floor. There's more space for other shops/restaurants to open in the future. Plus, there's a Rite Aid right across the street, and the convenient walk to both UH and CCF are great!
Most residents here are docs or pre-docs. Very polite and respectful to each other.
There's not a lot of stuff to do, but it's close enough to the HEC that I feel fairly safe walking back at night.
