Amazing place to live, especially if you own pets

It is more on the expensive side, but with having a dog and a cat, we saved a lot of money with the dog care. While we were traveling a lot, the building took our dog out 4-5 times a day, and while we are at work, we can just text them to take her out in the evening if no one can make it home in time. It's also a very safe building with 24/7 concierge. We feel extremely safe taking out our dog at night to the pet relief area in the back of the parking lot. Overall, we love living in this building! It is also perfectly in between of all of the hospitals.

Overall a good place to live if you're willing to spend a little extra money.

Looks very nice. 24/7 concierge. Frequent happy hour events at the bar downstairs.

Minor complaints:
Walls and insulation feel kind of thin (it used to be a hotel so imagine something like that).
No ventilation for the kitchen stove for some reason.
Just uncomfortably far from school (although it is close to the new school that is being built).
A little pricey - the rate I'm paying is for one of the cheapest units.

A little pricey but good value

The apartments are modern and well-maintained, and the location is great (10 min. walking to CCLCM and Case). 24 hour concierge with package delivery. Maintenance requests are addressed promptly and management is very helpful. Pet-friendly ($200 deposit). Apartments are a little small but the space is very nice and the building is quiet and very secure. In suite washer/dryer and a gym in the building. You would be responsible for electricity ($40-80 for the whole apartment, includes heat) and internet bills. Safe, non-street outdoor parking is $50/month and covered garage parking is $90/month. Rent is a little high ($1900 for a 2 bed, 2 bath) but there are no hidden fees and it stayed consistent for at least 1 year, with a guaranteed rent freeze for early renewal. Other residents are varied, but many residents/fellows from CCF and UH live here.

Great location and amenities, a little pricey

I love everything about this apartment, it is a beautiful space with a washer and dryer in unit and the management is very responsive to maintenance requests. There is an attached gym. The apartment building has 24 hour security and is walking distance from Cleveland Clinic. The parking is uncovered but secured by a gate and right next to the building. Covered parking is available at a higher charge. My only issue is that the rent is a little high, but it is a nice living environment and I have almost no "dead time" commuting or doing laundry. Additionally, this apartment building allows pets.

Close to UH, CCF and VA Hospitals but expensive

Nicely maintained apartments within walking distance to UH, CCF and VA hospitals is great when you're a busy third year medical student. In unit washer/dryer, dishwasher and above average apartment-building gym are also convenient. Above ground parking included in rent, and below ground/garage parking available for extra. Pets are allowed, including dogs. Residents are primarily non-students. Recent management change with noticeable improvement, however high staff turnover remains an issue. Overall a nice apartment, but very expensive relative to the Cleveland/University Circle surrounding area. Looking back, I would have lived here for M3 year again for convenience sake, but also would saved some money and lived elsewhere other years.

Getting around University Circle

University Circle Reviews

97 reviews
The neighborhood mostly consists of students and professionals and is in close proximity to the Little Italy neighborhood.
Love being close to school and lots of food options nearby.
Great place to live with lots of places to eat and cultural amenities like the art museum and orchestra. Easy to get to campus/the hospitals without having to drive. Biggest con is that the only grocery store is very expensive.
The building is in between two large hospitals, Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, making it very easy for me to get to class/rotations. It is generally safe. The Case Western Reserve University police and Cleveland Clinic patrol the area almost constantly, and I have always felt secure. Additionally, I am close to museums, coffee shops, libraries, bars, and nice places to eat, study, and hang out.
It's a wonderful neighborhood - walking distance to all the museums, botanical gardens, and some of the best restaurants in Cleveland. Also walking distance to a couple coffee shops and the CWRU library and student center, so ideal for studying. The best part: < 5 min commute to school and you get to avoid Cedar coming down the hill.
Living in University Circle while in law school has made a stressful experience pleasant and less complicated. The walk to campus (which is in University Circle) is fabulous - not having to battle hospital traffic and find parking is great. There's a Constantino's Market that provides all grocery needs. University Circle has a diverse range of food options - from upscale dining at L'Albatros, to comfort food in Little Italy, to fast casual in Uptown, you could probably eat somewhere different every night for a month, all within walking distance.

University Circle is THE hub for cultural activity in Cleveland. The Cleveland Museum of Art is my favorite place in the Circle. It has fabulous permanent exhibits and brings in wonderful temporary exhibitions. The museum hosts social events that are perfect for young people more than once a month. The Circle also contains Severance Hall - home of the Cleveland Orchestra, the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, the Natural History Museum, and more!

The area is fairly safe as it is heavily patrolled by UCPD and Campus Police. Ambulances frequent the area to get to the hospital, but that is the only noise complaint I've ever heard of.

I couldn't be happier about living right in University Circle during law school.
There's always places to eat or grab some groceries nearby and is close to campus. Meaning there's also lots of shuttles in walking distance to get where you need to go.
neighbors are friendly, though due to the location and the vast majority of the people living in the building are working or going to school, rarely see neighbors. The most active time with people in the building are on Friday nights through Saturday night.
