Deacon's Station Review
Overall, my experience at Deacon Station Apartment's has been great. I am so happy that it is only a five minute drive from Wake Forest and about a 20 minute walk if I wanted or needed to walk to school.
My roommates are amazing and exactly what I asked for when I was completing my application. The cons about living here have been delayed responses from management and trash. Management seems to be understaffed which is probably why they are so delayed. As far as trash, in my lease it was stated we would have valet trash but there were limitations, which is fine but even if you abide by the rules there are times where your trash may not picked up and just be sitting in front of your door for days. Also, with the large trash bin for everyone to throw their trash, there have been several times where it has been completely full to a point where trash is on the floor. Again, overall I believe the pros weigh out the cons and I am enjoying my experience here at Deacon's Station Apartments

Nice property, poor management
The property itself is great. It has all sorts of amenities and for the price point it is amazing. It is super close to campus. The only issue is management seems to be disorganized often forgetting or taking a long time to respond. Sometimes they get behind on bills and there’s pest issues or poor landscaping. Overall very nice but could be better with stronger management.

Great grounds but terrible management
The grounds crew and facilities are very nice however management is terrible. We have a lot of undergrad that live here so there is never any parking late a night (even though we pay for a parking spot). Management never takes anything seriously or yells at us if we don't respond.

Close to campus but can get busy
Deacon's Station is close to campus and the shuttle stops here which a few students enjoy. It is nice that you get your own bedroom and bathroom, but parking can get a bit difficult. Deacon's Station is also full of undergraduate students so it can get loud sometimes, though management and the on site safety officer are quick to remedy noise complaints.

Was there when I needed something
It is furnished, which was what I was looking for. The complex is close to campus and has a shuttle, but it only goes to Wake campus and WSSU. It can be noisy on the weekends. There is valet trash pickup during the week, but it doesn't start until after Labor day. Gym is okay, there is some broken equipment. There was also a shooting here recently.

Great community
Super quiet complex, and my unit comes with washer and dryer, which was super convenient. People are very friendly, and some units are pet friendly.

Okay, but some major issues
The Deacon Station townhouse is fine and I'm content, but it's overpriced (they've recently adjusted the rent down so that may not be an issue anymore). Outside of the actual house there are some problems. My neighbors play loud music essentially all day, and they especially love to late at night which causes my bedroom wall to vibrate since my room is on the side that's attached to their house. Also, I don't use the shuttle, but it's a good thing because we get texts consistently saying the shuttle is down for maintenance. Many times these 'alerts' come during the school day or in the morning so people have little to no time to find alternate transportation and they're hung out to dry for getting to class.

Highly recommend this furnished apartment
I had a great experience at Deacon Station. My apartment is for 4 people (with own bathrooms), but they only placed me with one other student in the same graduate program as me! We enjoy the spacious living quarters. Maintenance is quick to fix our requests, and we love the gym! It comes furnished which is the main reason we both decided to live here.

Great setup
I love the townhouse set up of Deacon Station. The rent includes furniture which is starting to show its age but still good. The kitchen is also super nice with granite counter tops. No issues for me.
