Great for Students
This apartment is amazing for students. It is in a fantastic location downtown, with quick and easy walks to almost any restaurant or bar you'd want to go to. It is also priced very well for students. The only thing not included in the rent is electricity and parking, all other amenities are included. The management is also super responsive to questions or maintenance issues. The apartment often has Food Truck Fridays and fun events throughout the year aligning with holidays or just for fun. Everyone living in the apartment is also incredibly nice.

I really like my apartment.

Beautiful apartment in downtown Winston
I loved the building, the windows, and the staff. However, there were a number of miscommunications on the administrative staff's part that resulted in some small conflicts over time. If you are a young professional, I recommend this building. Other residents were very pleasant, but don't expect people who live here to act like people who have lived in apartment buildings in very large cities.

WFL Review
Spacious and comfortable lofts perfectly situated in downtown. Great gyms, fast internet, but parking is very expensive.

Winston Factory Lofts
I've lived in both WFL buildings at times over the past 3 years. Both buildings have great 1 bedroom, 1 bath options and the management staff/maintenance team are fantastic. The downtown area has developed significantly over the past few years, with several bars, restaurants, coffeshops, a trail, and a park all within walking distance of WFL.
One drawback is the proximity to train tracks - trains come through 2-3 times per day.

Pretty Good Place
The lofts are decent. The rooms are nice, but the windows are very drafty. They do not hold in heat well so it gets pretty cold in the winter and drives up the electricity bill. Additionally, the lofts are close to the train tracks which can be annoying because some conductors are assholes and really lay it down on the horn.

Winston Factory Lofts
If you don't mind a 5-10 minute drive to campus, WFL is for you! I absolutely love living in the Factory Lofts and I love living downtown. I have a fairly large dog and the lofts have always been extremely accommodating (there are also two off-leash dog parks on site!). I love the industrial feel of where I live and the secure parking and entrances/exits. The lofts have a multiple workout facilities in their two buildings and a fully operating movie theatre in the building I live in (Phase 2). They have a pool and multiple grills on their pool deck, including a fire pit! The staff hosts multiple events every month to allow you to network and socialize with your neighbors. The only disadvantage is many people in the MA program do not live downtown, so socializing with other people in the program usually requires a drive to Crown Oaks or somewhere closer to campus.
