605 West End reviews and highlights
- convenient amenities
- always parking available
- friendly staff
- awesome location near bars and walking distance to downtown
Great downtown apartment option near Brightleaf
One of the cheaper downtown apartment options with close proximity to Brightleaf/East Campus as well as central downtown. Convenient parking garage, awesome pool, and the new management staff is fantastic. Highly recommend.

loud place but safe
It is near a major street and highway, so it is loud.
Lincoln management just took over this year and the management is not great. There are issues with internet downtime, long wait for maintenance, and on going constructions. The only good thing is that the police station is right next to it and the safety is suppose to be good.

Bell West End is nice but PRICEY!
I like living at Bell West. It is close to campus, downtown, and ninth street. I like that the building is secure. The only downside is that it is on the higher end of prices for Durham.

Happy resident
I've lived in Bell West for four years and love it. The leasing office and maintenance staff are super friendly and responsive, the amenities are very nice, location is great, and the residents are generally more of a mix of young professionals plus some grad students and some families (so great if you don't want to be near tons of undergrads plus want a little separation from classmates on Ninth Street).

Great Place. Apartments are smaller than 9th street area, but perfect for 1 person
It is a very nice building with new ammenities.

Great place to live
My experience has been great so far. The apartment unit is very good, with new appliances. The location, amenities, and maintenance are also great at Bell West End. Two downsides are that the building has only 1 individual study room, and the building is located near a train line, which can be noisy during the night.

Good value and location
You get a lot of the same amenities as the Ninth St apartments, but at a lower cost. You're still really close to that area and walking distance to downtown. It is a little quieter here since you have a mix of students from the different grad schools as well as young professionals. They're quick to respond to maintenance requests and the apartments are spacious with plenty of storage options.
You do pay for valet trash which seems a little unnecessary to me personally. Also wifi and cable are worked into your rent.
My main complaint is the floors seem thin (but not the walls), so I can hear the person above me a bunch. I don't think you'll escape that at a lot of these larger complexes.
