Spacious 1-bd close to Gleacher and Millennium Station

Columbus Plaza has been a great place to live for the past half-year (including startup summer). We love the huge corner 1-bedrooms they have, the relatively roomy kitchen, lots of closet space (and free storage in a storage room on each floor), and beautiful views over the river and across to Gleacher. We have good sound insulation despite being on a low floor, so it's easy to relax or study in the apartment. We are close to MPP and Millennium Station and are connected to the station via the Pedway, so I don't have to go out into the cold until I arrive in Hyde Park each morning. We also love how dog-friendly the building is -- the doormen and maintenance staff all love our dog, and our dog loves them. Overall, this place is great, and I'd recommend it especially high for people who a) want space to host large gatherings, b) are in couples or families or don't want the dorm atmosphere, or c) enjoy a quieter building with good sound insulation.

The 2br units are great value

The CP 2br units are a hidden gem. At ~1300 sqft they are the largest 2br units between mpp, Mila, tides, and 73 east. They are all corner units with great views and floor to ceiling windows. The billing amenities are not great. Gym is small and there's no pool. But being connected directly to the pedway is amazing: means you can go to the train station, stores, and restaurants without ever going outside. Gleacher center is also less than 5 minutes away.

Could not have picked a better spot

Right in the middle of downtown! Just the way I love it. Surrounded by buildings, and city life. This is certainly a place that is lively and always has fun things to do. The apartment itself is amazing. Floor-to-ceiling windows, with hardwood and granite. It's a little pricey, but it's honestly great for the value.

Decent place

I have lived here for two years. This is not a smoke free building. A lot of college students live here. The apartments are big but are not upgraded. Location of this apartment is its beat thing. Also big sized apartments also make this a good place to live.

Affordable Downtown Living

Columbus Plaza is one of the more afforable high-rise buildings located in the heart of downtown plus great views of Navy Pier and the river front. It also has access to parks, grocery stores and restaurants. The building staff are very friendly and attentive.

Amazing

Absolute best apartment we've ever lived in. Plus a gym with 24 hr access. Downside - paying for parking. The apartment is safe, excellent location to restaurants, transportation and outdoor activities. The employees are always wonderful and amenities are great.

The walk everywhere location

Columbus Plaza is a bit of a "tired" building, but you cannot beat the price for where you are in the heart of downtown Chicago. Living above the powdery is another added amenity, as mcondalds and dunking donuts are great for a quick breakfast. We lived here for 3 years and have never regretted a minute.

The Loop Reviews

Very secure and tranquil. Very close to public transportations. Namely millennium station which I use to ride the Metra trains to campus.
Very close to the lake and navy pier
Great park surrounded by all the buildings.
There’s good supermarket that has everything. A couple restaurants and coffee shops are also there.
Loop is central and great to get to other neighborhoods. Quick train access to Hyde Park (35min door to seat). Mostly MBA students in building
Feels like a neighborhood even though you are in the heart of the city
The Loop is great because it is so easy to get anywhere in the city! Also, we are next to many cool sights, and River North is very walkable.
Location is central to everything and with majority of students living here, hard to envision living elsewhere during Booth
Great access to stores, restaurants, and excellent transit to get anywhere in Chicago you may want to go to!
Location is good in terms of transit proximity. The loop is not a great area for food/activities but river north is very close and has grocery stores/restaurants, etc.
It’s the loop. It’s full of tourists, but all my friends live here. Trade offs are everywhere. Sooooo close to train (under rated).
