Convenient but not great
Convenient but not great. The building is too expensive and there are better options out there. Management is not great either.

Not a bad option
Regents is a good place to consider if you are looking for convenience, superior access to public transportation, and the opportunity to be close to law school friends. Try to get a place early in the summer if you want a great view of the sky line and the lake. The views and the friendliness of the residents are Regents' major selling points.
The downsides are that it smells like pot in the hallways a non-negligible amount of the time and things seem to break frequently, like the elevators, the treadmills, and the gates in the parking lot. In-unit maintenance is pretty good though.

Infested
We got both cockroaches and bed bugs. The management team was completely unhelpful and inconsiderate. We got no refund even though we had to move out early. The worst experience of my life.

Very convenient and lots of amenities
Love that there's a mini market in the building and a grill (that even delivers)! Love the 24 hour doorman service as well. Feels very safe.

Regents Park - decent place if you can't come to research other places
Due to living abroad, I didn't have the chance to scope out housing in Hyde Park prior to law school. I chose Regents Park because it seemed to be the "safe" option all-around. Basically, it is fine. There is easy access to school via the 172 and downtown via the 6 bus. The apartment has lots of windows and storage, and is a decent size and layout. As a couple, we don't feel cramped in the studio. The gym is nice, although better for cardio than weights. I like living near other law students. What makes me hesitate from being completely satisfied with my living arrangement is that I feel with some effort one could find a 1 bedroom with comparable kitchen/bath quality at a smaller building for the same price elsewhere as the studio in Regents Park.

Regents Park
Regents Park has been a perfectly fine place to live; the apartment is spacious, the gym is fine (if not "amazing"), the management has always been responsive, and the 172 makes going to the Law School very convenient.

Regents Park
Overall, regents is not a bad place to live, but it's a bit overpriced for what you get. My biggest complaint is that there aren't sufficient elevators for as large of a building as it is - you frequently have to wait forever (this was especially bad for a month or so period this fall when one or two of the elevators were down).

Management is awful
The management at Regents is awful and they should all lose their jobs. They are slow to respond, disrespectful, and incompetent. These are not people who should be working in the customer service industry. The building is aging and although the maintenance staff is great, there are simply too many issues that need to be dealt with. Further, MAC's goal is obviously to put as little money as possible into Regents. Multiple machines in the gym have broken and never been replaced, the washers have all been out of service more than once, the elevators regularly don't work, etc.

Terrible management
MAC is a terrible management company. They constantly raise prices and are terrible to work with.

Great for law students
Regents is great for law students because of its proximity to the law school, public transit, and other students, but it's pricey and far from the fun of downtown. It's not a chore to live here, though, and I honestly love it except for the price and the no washer/dryer in-unit thing.

Kenwood Reviews
* Many public transit options to the Law School + Loop (the 6, the 28, the 172, the Metra)
* Close to Lake Michigan, great for picnicking, exercising, or sightseeing * Close to 53rd St. strip (restaurants, bars, a hotel, etc.) but still quiet and peaceful
