Good
The apartment is fine. Furnished but the furniture could be better (a little out of fashion). The common areas are always full so not the best experience using them.

Don't recommend living in CTT

Paper thin walls, small kitchen and living room
The walls are super thin. You can even hear your neighbours on a phone call. The shuttle service timings never align with my schedule. The gym was closed for the longest time and we had to almost threaten to sue to get it opened, even after the NY Governor allowed them to be open. The only plus thing is that it has a washer, dryer and dishwasher.

Outwardly appealing, but a bad choice.
Pick anywhere else to live except Collegetown Terrace. Any perceived benefit or convenience is far outweighed by careless, incompetent management. A few of many negative experiences:
-Management lost my recurring payments form, which I only discovered because they suddenly insisted my rent was late.
-The "high-speed" internet is a cheap contract with Spectrum resulting in frequent internet outages (every 30 minutes for the past several months). They only acted to lobby Spectrum for service improvements after a massive number of complaints. They created a temporary fix, but service quickly returned to its former abysmal state. Management no longer wants to handle this issue and has told residents to contact Spectrum directly even though they own the policy.
-Management nearly towed my car despite paying $900 for a parking pass because they failed to notify me that they created new parking passes. They have my plates and vehicle information but are too lazy to bother to check.
-Despite the change in New York State policy around COVID-19 and fitness centers (two months ago as of writing this) management has continued to put off finding a solution to open their gyms. They continue to blame external factors and provide vague information when pressed for updates.
-Maintenance workers have relentlessly pounded on my door in early morning hours and failed to identify themselves. One maintenance worker was wearing a shirt advocating for ownership of semi-automatic weapons (unprofessional and unacceptable in any workplace, regardless of your stance).

Good
Generally good. A bit expensive. Wifi was terrible but better now.

Good location, bad everything else.
I warn you this is not the place to live in Ithaca and here's why:
Collegetown Terrace or CTT lures you in with pictures of pretty lofty buildings and its excellent location between the downtown commons and Cornell, but unfortunately the experience of living at CTT otherwise has been completely regrettable for me. Internet connectivity is pathetic with frequent drops in connection and lagging. Residents have been complaining about CTT internet access for years, but now that Covid has forced us all inside it is downright unbearable to work.
Management is frequently unfriendly and transparency of issues in my building and complex have been poor. After the state allowed gyms to reopen, management refused to reopen the gym (as every single other comparable building in the area had opened there's) until residents complaints became unbearable for them and they were forced to reopen. They issued no refund for the money we paid for the rent.
If you're looking to move to Ithaca, consider other comparable apartment complexes or standalone rentals. Don't make the same mistake as me and hate my experience living here everyday.

Decent location; Garbage wifi; Bad experience with management
I moved to CTT because it is a convenient place to live, and it is that. Other than that, it is over-priced and mediocre. The wifi is absolute garbage and has been an unresolved issue from day one. Most of the front office staff is friendly.

A no-brainer
Great Apartments, fully furnished, no hassles. They are working on fixing the internet issues, but otherwise, no issues with the utilities either. A lot of Johnson folks staying in the surrounding buildings. The Shuttle to campus makes it a lot easier to get to Cornell, which is anyways only a short walk away. If you get one of the newer apartment buildings, you'll also have HVAC with both heating AND cooling (some of the older apartments only have heating). A tad expensive though.

115 S. Quarry
This is an economical rental building. Rooms here are like dorm rooms. You get to enjoy CTT amenities but your room is older and your building is the administration building. The kitchen is small and old but there are two stoves. People can take your stuffs if you leave them in the kitchen. It is very dorm-like. If youre looking for somewhere cheap but efficient then I definitely recommend this place. One thing is you won't be able to have people over ever because your room is really small and you have no living room.
