Great - given the options

Collegetown Terrace (CTT) has the best overall value if you are interested in a nicer apartment complex. It has an okay gym, covered parking ($900/year), free shuttle to campus, and is optimally located equal distances from campus and downtown Ithaca.

It's certainly not perfect, the apartments can be small, and are not brand new - but they're solid. It is more expensive than it should be, but so are all of the student apartment complexes in Ithaca.

If you have a pet you will need to get it certified as a service animal or emotional support animal. It's a great complex for a small dog owner, there's a lovely fenced in area behind the complex great for a dog to run around and play.

Review CTT

My Unit is OK but I think the rent is extremely expensive. I will likely move to a different place for my second year

CTT, the secrets of Boilerworks

It is a great apartment, however I was not in the main CTT buildings. I was in the "Boilerworks" or old "Boiler room". It is a building behind Gola Osteria, 123 S Quarry Street. It is a building that was repurposed as an apartment complex. Hence, it's odd, but it's cheap. You have all the CTT perks at a better price.

Dormitory Amenities Off-Campus

This was exactly what I was looking for - a studio where I did not have to buy any of the furniture. Further, I also did not want to set up any of the utilities (i.e. internet, gas, electricity, water).

Nice place to live overall

CTT is a nice place to live overall. They are reactive usually to maintenance requests. I will have to say they are pretty bad on stolen packages, but hopefully the new mgmt will be better about it.

Cozy and Clean

For people who like to be alone and not cook, CTT Old Quarters (Quarry Arms) building is perfect. I have my partner visit me often and we have enough space in one room/studio for both of us. It's clean and having own bathroom is definitely a big plus. Walking distance to Downtown & to Campus. Shuttle is amazing but runs from 7-4 weekdays to campus and limited time on weekends to Wegmans. Having shared gym/kitchen/study room in the same building is super convenient. Renting same unit for 2nd year because of the price and convenience.

Good value

This review is for the Quarry Arms Building. Although the building itself is older but significantly cheaper than other CTT apartments, the studio has everything you'll need. Access to all the CTT amenities, large gym, study rooms, and most importantly - CTT shuttles!

Good apartment for graduate students

Pros - CTT management is quite responsive; response time takes around a day or two for someone to come in and fix any issues. Move-in condition was clean and the apartment looked great. Convenient location as it's between Campus and Downtown.

Cons - noise from outside the apartment can travel and can hear. The sidewalk outside the apartment building is very dirty and can use some maintenance and cleaning.
