Love Sono East!

Sono East is an amazing place to live. I've had a wonderful experience living here. Building management has been attentive, responsive, and easy to work with. I love my neighbors. Everyone is friendly, and there are a lot of pet owners which means everyone is a bit more understanding of other people's pets. The units themselves are beautiful, and the pool and the hot tub are amazing in the summer. Aside from the amenities, the views are really great too and I love the surrounding neighborhood.

Old Town Reviews

i love this neighborhood. It's the perfect place for twenty somethings who are out of the Wrigleyville/Lincoln Park phase. It's a little pricey, but offers everything from entertainment to the beach.
Although the crowd is relatively young, there is an abundant amount of homeless people who will hang around the outside area. They'll ask for money of course, but it's fine.
What Old Town might lack in Michelin-rated restaurants, it makes up for in a seemingly endless variety of well above average choices. It's been over a year, and we've only managed to visit maybe half the restaurants and bars on our list, and we go out at least weekly. The only drawbacks to the neighborhood are 1) the entitled people you'll run into from time to time, and 2) that you should be careful walking around by yourself at night.
Great residential location that's quiet but within walking distance to lots of restaurants and nightlife. Easy to get around the city as the neighborhood is close to many bus and train lines.
Old Town is a great neighborhood to be in - I absolutely love it! There are so many restaurants and bars nearby, and my commute to work is much shorter now.
Lots to do. Neighborhood is a lot of young working professionals, mixed with people who have lived there forever. Can walk to bars and restaurants.
- Close location to the train, grocery stores, etc.

- Don't feel too safe around some of the sketchy areas on the outskirts of Old Town
The neighborhood is a prime location for people in their mid-twenties. Their is tons of families, dogs, restaurants and things to do in the area. For grocery you can walk to Plum Market or Treasure Island, there is also a Walgreens very close by, as well as every type of restaurant you could want on Wells.

The transportation is also great, you are placed right between the brown line @ Sedgwick, and the 156/LaSalle bus that takes you right downtown.

You can rent a divvy near by or grab a cab pretty easily. The street is permit parking and I can always find a spot.
