Great Apartment, Okay Management

Overall I really like my apartment. The kitchen isn't the most updated but you can tell they've updated other parts of the apartment. Also for a 1 bedroom it is pretty spacious. The living room and kitchen are both fairly large and I have three closets (all walk in closets!). Management is just okay. Whenever I have an issue I can submit a request and usually within 24 hours someone is at the apartment taking care of that request. The mail organization isn't great. Our mailboxes are in the lobby which is fine but for larger packages they just leave them out in the lobby. Usually there's a ton of packages just left there because residents don't take the time pick up their things or they will pick up their things but then leave the trash (boxes, plastic) in the lobby. This makes the lobby look very junky and makes it hard for you to find your package. I know this is mostly the residents fault but the apartment complex could do a better job about reminding residents not to leave trash in the lobby. Also during the winter of 2019 we had a lot of emergency water situations. I know the building is kind of old and if pipes need repair that's out of the management's control but the way they handled the situation was awful. They would turn off water for hours at a time without any warning to the residents. I called multiple times about this and they would always say they did send an annoucement, which was a lie. The few times they did send an announcement it was always 10-15 minutes before they shut off the water which in my opinion is not enough time, especially since I was home all day and would be without running water for 4-6 hours.
