Bryn Mawr
Very neighborly and friendly place if you do not want to live in the city. I commute to school by car or via the Norristown High Speed line and MFL and it will usually take 40 mins to get to Pennsy or Presby hosptials. I would recommend if you have children or a spouse that works outside of Philadelphia

Suburban oasis
I've really enjoyed living in Radwyn. Buildings are subdivided into 4 units per entrance, which makes it very quiet. The amenities are nice, and management is responsive. It is very clean, and recently renovated (new carpet, windows with better insulation, new W/D, etc), though you can tell the building is a bit older on the whole. They are pet friendly with lots of green space and a dog park, and there is also a community garden. It is walking distance to the Bryn Mawr train station (20 min walk, 5 min drive), library, and main street. The train is reliable, and there are plenty of trains in the morning and evening that stop at the station.
