Nice Place in the loop

A bit of a walk, but busses and trains run all the time very frequently so it's very connected to the rest of the city. It is very downtown and noisier

Good apartment building in a central location

The apartment complex itself is great, and right next to all the train lines in the Loop. The unit is spacious with relatively updated appliances and floorplans, the gym is sufficient for a quick workout, the pool is open all months of the year, the management fixes any issues in a timely manner. The only complaint I would have is that this building is on a busy street (Michigan Ave), which means the noise can sometimes be bothersome for sensitive people. Overall, great apartment complex to live in.

Best Value for Booth Experience

My partner and I live here, and my partner works from home full time, and has no complaints. The rent is the most affordable in the area, and the entire building is largely made up of Booth students. It makes socializing and studying very easy, as you're usually only an elevator ride away from a study group or a get together. The location is literally across the street from the train to campus, and it has some pretty nice amenities for the cost. I just don't think any other luxury building is worth the difference in rent from MPP.

The building sucks, but you don't really have a choice cause this is where everyone lives

my floor wasn't even flat. Sometimes I think that the building will cave in. But besides for that, it's pretty awesome living with friends.

Not the Worst, Not the Best

You definitely need to invest in air purifiers, the floors may not be level, and there's an over sense of decrepitness. You should really pay attention to the floorplan you choose (will it get a lot of sun, does it have carpet in the bedroom, is the bathroom updated).

BUT the experience of living in the same building as so many Boothies far outweighs those cons - just want to make sure people know what they're getting into.

Good value for money and location

MPP is good value for money and location. Being on floors >20 and being facing the lake helps with noise from streets.
It is good fun to be in the same building with a lot of classmates and friends.
Not having in unit laundry can be a hassle but the shared washers, dryers always have availability. Overall have quiet neighbors and feel like I have good value for money here.

MPP

MPP is a very reasonably priced apartment building. The unit is not fully updated, but has newer floors and stainless steel appliances. My apartment feels very spacious and I have a lot of storage space that I really appreciate. The gym and pool are sufficient for everyday workouts. It is very conveniently located for commuting to Hyde Park. Overall, it is a great building to live in if you want to be close to your classmates while also living on a student budget.

Very secure and tranquil. Very close to public transportations. Namely millennium station which I use to ride the Metra trains to campus.
Very close to the lake and navy pier
Great park surrounded by all the buildings.
There’s good supermarket that has everything. A couple restaurants and coffee shops are also there.
Loop is central and great to get to other neighborhoods. Quick train access to Hyde Park (35min door to seat). Mostly MBA students in building
Feels like a neighborhood even though you are in the heart of the city
The Loop is great because it is so easy to get anywhere in the city! Also, we are next to many cool sights, and River North is very walkable.
Location is central to everything and with majority of students living here, hard to envision living elsewhere during Booth
Great access to stores, restaurants, and excellent transit to get anywhere in Chicago you may want to go to!
Location is good in terms of transit proximity. The loop is not a great area for food/activities but river north is very close and has grocery stores/restaurants, etc.
It’s the loop. It’s full of tourists, but all my friends live here. Trade offs are everywhere. Sooooo close to train (under rated).
