You get for what you pay for
MPP is not the nicest option for housing in the loop, but if you are looking to save money, it is nice enough for what you pay.

Great Value
Great value, the units are well kept and the maintenance staff is very attentive. They keep on top of things well (proactive drain cleaning, smoke detectors, replacing outdated appliances). The other staff is hit or miss, but nice for the most part. Noise is fairly well insulated for how busy the area can be

MPP is a great place to live for someone new to Chicago
MPP offers fantastic value for the price. The spacious floor plans are a standout, and amenities like the gym and the presence of a doorman add to the convenience. We moved from Washington, DC, and have found that our dollar stretches much further here. While the gym is basic, it gets the job done, and the front desk staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Another highlight is the strong sense of community, especially since many Booth students live in the building, making socializing easy and enjoyable. We also love that we can see the Bean from our apartment, which is a unique and beautiful perk. One drawback is the lack of in-unit washers and dryers, but this is offset by the fact that most utilities are included in the already reasonable rent.

Unofficial Booth Dorm
It literally feels like I’m living in a dorm

Bang for your buck
MPP is great for potential Booth students because it is the closest apartment to the train, you have the most space for the least price, the building is pretty safe with 24/7 doormen, there's a gym and pool, and most importantly, most Booth students live here so it's very easy to build community and interact with others. On the flip side, it is an older building and while we have enough amenities, other luxury buildings in the Loop, have more.

Nice Place in the loop
A bit of a walk, but busses and trains run all the time very frequently so it's very connected to the rest of the city. It is very downtown and noisier

Good apartment building in a central location
The apartment complex itself is great, and right next to all the train lines in the Loop. The unit is spacious with relatively updated appliances and floorplans, the gym is sufficient for a quick workout, the pool is open all months of the year, the management fixes any issues in a timely manner. The only complaint I would have is that this building is on a busy street (Michigan Ave), which means the noise can sometimes be bothersome for sensitive people. Overall, great apartment complex to live in.

Best Value for Booth Experience
My partner and I live here, and my partner works from home full time, and has no complaints. The rent is the most affordable in the area, and the entire building is largely made up of Booth students. It makes socializing and studying very easy, as you're usually only an elevator ride away from a study group or a get together. The location is literally across the street from the train to campus, and it has some pretty nice amenities for the cost. I just don't think any other luxury building is worth the difference in rent from MPP.

The building sucks, but you don't really have a choice cause this is where everyone lives
my floor wasn't even flat. Sometimes I think that the building will cave in. But besides for that, it's pretty awesome living with friends.

The Loop Reviews
Very close to the lake and navy pier
Great park surrounded by all the buildings.
There’s good supermarket that has everything. A couple restaurants and coffee shops are also there.
That being said, if you're anywhere near State St. or the Mag mile, there's pretty much people around at any given hour. It's fun to live downtown because the streets are bustling with interesting people, sometimes there's live music on street corners and there are a lot of restaurants and shops.
